Dubai visa for Burundi passport

If you hold a Burundi passport and need a Dubai visa, we can issue a 30 day or 60 day UAE tourist visa in single or multiple entry, usually within 24 to 72 hours. Fees begin at AED 450, the document list is short, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp with our team in Dubai. This page explains what a Burundi passport holder pays, what to send, how long it takes, and how the visa can be extended once you are in the UAE.

Short version: four visa options for Burundi passports, from AED 450 for 30 days single entry to AED 1,000 for 60 days multiple entry, approved in 24 to 72 hours and valid for entry within 60 days of issue.

Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.

We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.

Who needs a prearranged Dubai visa?

Most nationalities need a prearranged visa before flying to the UAE, and that is what we issue. A shorter list of nationalities can enter with a stamp on arrival, and that list moves occasionally. We confirm the current position for Burundi passports on WhatsApp so that nobody pays for a visa they do not need.

Burundi passport Dubai visa fees

These are our current prices for a Dubai visa on a Burundi passport, checked in September 2026:

  • 30 day tourist visa, single entry: AED 450
  • 60 day single entry: AED 650
  • 30 days, multiple entry: AED 800
  • Multiple entry 60 day visa: AED 1,000

No tourist visa shorter than 30 days is available. Should immigration refuse the application, the fee is not returned, as it covers government processing.

Security deposits explained

Certain nationalities may need to place a refundable security deposit. The deposit sits apart from the visa fee, is returned after you leave the UAE, and we confirm the amount for Burundi citizens on WhatsApp before booking.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Burundi passport, the fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link.

Dubai visa requirements for Burundi passport holders

Share these items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:

  1. Front page and back cover of the passport, six months validity minimum. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. A two way air ticket. If you have not booked flights yet, we can book them for you.
  4. Birth certificate for any child applicant. A national ID copy is required for some nationalities.

Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Burundi applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. Please also carry a card or some cash, since immigration can ask arriving visitors to show proof of funds.

Guarantor documents

Sponsors based in the UAE send their passport and residence visa copies with six months validity, front and back of the Emirates ID, and complete the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. The sponsor’s bank statement can stand in for the applicant’s where one is required, but this applies to family members only, not friends.

How to apply for a Dubai visa from Burundi

  1. Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 and we confirm which visa fits your plans.
  2. Settle the fee by secure link or instalments. Submission to immigration follows verification and payment.
  3. The application is filed and monitored by our team. Expect 24 to 72 hours for most Burundi applicants, with occasional delays or extra document requests from immigration.
  4. The approved visa arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp. Carry a printed or digital copy for the airline and for immigration on arrival.

Key dates to remember

The visa must be used to enter the UAE within 60 days of the date of issue. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. Single entry means one arrival only, while multiple entry allows repeated exits and returns during the validity period, useful for side trips to Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. A tourist visa does not permit employment in the UAE.

No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine

There is no grace period on a UAE tourist visa. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. We send Burundi clients a reminder on WhatsApp before the visa expires so that you can extend or exit in time.

Staying longer than 30 or 60 days

A 30 day visa can be extended three times for 30 days each, and a 60 day visa twice for 30 days each, with no exit required. Combined stay is capped at 120 days. After the limit, the only way to stay on is to leave and come back on a new visa, by air through an airport to airport change or by bus via Oman. Apply for the extension ahead of the expiry date, ideally a week before.

Sharjah 60 day visa

An alternative is the 60 day single entry visa issued through Sharjah, priced at AED 1,200 without any deposit. It is valid for the whole UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Message us and we will compare both routes for your Burundi passport.

Common reasons a Dubai visa is delayed or refused

  • Leaving out the back cover, which immigration requires alongside the data page.
  • Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
  • Blurred or cropped photos. Use a clear, full colour scan with all four corners visible.
  • Undisclosed immigration history. Old fines or bans affect approval, so share them with us upfront.
  • A passport with a single name and no document showing a full name, which immigration cannot process.
  • Applying too close to the travel date. Allow at least three working days, more during Eid and December.

Answers for Burundi citizens

How many days until approval?

Typically 24 to 72 hours. Immigration sets the timeline and may ask for more documents, so allow three working days or more before your flight.

Cheapest Dubai visa option?

AED 450 for single entry and AED 800 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 400 and AED 750. A refundable deposit may apply for some nationalities and is confirmed on WhatsApp.

60 day visa fee for Burundi citizens?

The 60 day visa costs AED 650 single entry or AED 1,000 multiple entry, and AED 600 or AED 950 for Indian and Filipino passports.

Is a bank statement required for a Burundi passport?

It depends on nationality. Some passports are asked for a six month statement, and a UAE based family member can submit theirs instead. Immigration may also ask arriving travellers for proof of funds, so carry a card or cash. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the rule for Burundi passports.

Can I extend a Dubai visa without leaving the UAE?

Yes, without exit. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each, capped at 120 days total. Beyond that, an exit and re entry is required. Apply before the visa expires.

When do fines start?

No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.

Can I get my money back on refusal?

The fee is not returned if the visa is refused; it covers government processing. Reapplying is possible after the cause of rejection is fixed.

Can children from Burundi apply for a Dubai visa?

Yes. Each child needs their own visa and pays the same fee as an adult. Send the child’s passport, photo and birth certificate on WhatsApp along with the parents’ documents.

Can I work in the UAE on a Dubai visa?

No. A tourist visa does not permit employment. You may attend interviews and visit, but working requires a residence visa sponsored by an employer.
