Employment is not permitted on a tourist visa.

Overstay rules in 2026

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. Staying longer than 30 or 60 days

A 30 day visa can be extended three times for 30 days each, and a 60 day visa twice for 30 days each, with no exit required. Total time in the UAE cannot exceed 120 days. Once you reach the maximum, you must exit and re enter, either through an airport to airport visa change or by bus to Oman. Apply for the extension ahead of the expiry date, ideally a week before.
