1. Your passport data page plus a photo of the back cover, with six months or more validity. We ask for both because the back cover is the item most often forgotten.
2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
3. A round trip ticket, which we can also book for you if it is not yet arranged.
4. For minors, a birth certificate. For a few nationalities, a copy of the national ID card is also required.

Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Chad applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. Applying through a family member or friend in the UAE

When a UAE resident applies on behalf of a Chad visitor, we also need the sponsor’s passport copy valid for six months, residence visa page valid for six months, Emirates ID front and back, and the guarantee form completed at applyvisa.app. If a statement is requested, a UAE family member may supply it on the applicant’s behalf, but a friend’s statement is not accepted.

Key dates to remember

The visa must be used to enter the UAE within 60 days of the date of issue. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. Single entry means one arrival only, while multiple entry allows repeated exits and returns during the validity period, useful for side trips to Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Working on a tourist visa is not allowed.

No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. Visa extension without leaving the UAE

Thirty day visas may be extended three times by 30 days, and 60 day visas twice by 30 days, all from inside the UAE. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. After the limit, the only way to stay on is to leave and come back on a new visa, by air through an airport to airport change or by bus via Oman. Apply for the extension ahead of the expiry date, ideally a week before.

Sharjah 60 day visa

For Chad travellers who prefer it, the Sharjah 60 day single entry visa costs AED 1,200 and carries no deposit. Holders may move freely across all seven emirates. We will advise on WhatsApp whether this suits Chad citizens better than the standard visa.

Mistakes Chad applicants should avoid

• No back cover scan. Send it together with the front page.
• A passport expiring within six months of travel.
• Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
• Undisclosed immigration history. Old fines or bans affect approval, so share them with us upfront.

There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.

Can I get my money back on refusal?

No. Visa fees, including the service fee, are not refundable if immigration rejects the application, because the government charge is paid at submission. You may reapply after addressing the reason for refusal.

Can I add my child to the application?

Yes. Children require an individual visa at the standard price. We need the passport, photo and birth certificate for each minor.

Does the tourist visa allow employment?

Employment is not allowed on a tourist visa. Job seekers can meet employers, but a work permit and residence visa are required before starting work.
