Ethiopia passport holders can apply for a Dubai visa through White Sky Travel and receive a 30 or 60 day tourist visa, single or multiple entry, typically within one to three working days. The 30 day visa starts at AED 450, four documents are enough for most applicants, and we handle every step on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Ethiopia traveller needs to know: cost, paperwork, timing, validity and what happens when the visa is about to expire.
Quick answer: a Dubai visa for a Ethiopia passport costs AED 450 for 30 days single entry, AED 650 for 60 days single entry, AED 800 for 30 days multiple entry and AED 1,000 for 60 days multiple entry. Processing takes 24 to 72 hours and the visa must be used to enter the UAE within 60 days of issue.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
Who needs a prearranged Dubai visa?
Unless a passport qualifies for visa on arrival, a prearranged tourist visa is required, and that is what we provide. A shorter list of nationalities can enter with a stamp on arrival, and that list moves occasionally. To be certain about the current rule for Ethiopia citizens, WhatsApp us your passport page and we will check it at no cost.
Ethiopia passport Dubai visa fees
Here is the September 2026 price list for Ethiopia passport holders:
- 30 day tourist visa, single entry: AED 450
- Single entry 60 day visa: AED 650
- Multiple entry 30 day visa: AED 800
- 60 days, multiple entry: AED 1,000
No tourist visa shorter than 30 days is available. All visa fees, including our service fee, are not refundable if immigration rejects the application, because the government charge is paid at submission.
Refundable security deposit for some nationalities
Some passports are asked for a refundable security deposit. The deposit sits apart from the visa fee, is returned after you leave the UAE, and we confirm the amount for Ethiopia citizens on WhatsApp before booking.
Instalment plans for UAE residents
If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Ethiopia passport, the fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.

What Ethiopia citizens need to send us
WhatsApp us the following and expect an eligibility answer within about an hour:
- Passport scan showing the front page and the back cover, valid for at least six months. A missing back cover is the most common reason an application is returned, so please include both.
- One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
- A return or two way flight ticket; if you do not have one, we can arrange the flights.
- Birth certificate for any child applicant. A national ID copy is required for some nationalities.
A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Ethiopia citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. Bear in mind that immigration officers sometimes ask arriving passengers to show they can fund their stay, so keep a card or cash accessible.
If a UAE resident is sponsoring you
For sponsored applications the UAE resident supplies a passport copy and residence visa page valid for six months, both sides of their Emirates ID, and the online guarantee form at applyvisa.app. The sponsor’s bank statement can stand in for the applicant’s where one is required, but this applies to family members only, not friends.
Getting your Dubai visa in four steps
- Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 and we confirm which visa fits your plans.
- Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We submit the application once documents and payment are in place.
- The application is filed and monitored by our team. Expect 24 to 72 hours for most Ethiopia applicants, with occasional delays or extra document requests from immigration.
- Once approved, we send the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Show it at check in and at UAE immigration together with your passport.
How long the Dubai visa is valid
Entry must take place within 60 days of issue, or the visa lapses. Your 30 or 60 days of stay begin on the day you enter, not on the day the visa is issued. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Employment is not permitted on a tourist visa.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. A WhatsApp reminder from us before expiry helps Ethiopia visitors avoid fines.

Visa extension without leaving the UAE
The 30 day visa allows three extensions of 30 days and the 60 day visa allows two, without leaving the country. The maximum total stay is 120 days. At the 120 day point, a new visa requires an exit, which can be done by an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. Extension applications must be submitted before the current visa expires, so contact us with at least a week remaining.
Sharjah visa option
For Ethiopia travellers who prefer it, the Sharjah 60 day single entry visa costs AED 1,200 and carries no deposit. It is valid for the whole UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We will advise on WhatsApp whether this suits Ethiopia citizens better than the standard visa.
Common reasons a Dubai visa is delayed or refused
- Missing passport back cover. Include it with your first message to avoid resubmission.
- A passport expiring within six months of travel.
- Unclear document images. A clean, well lit scan avoids delays.
- Previous overstays, unpaid fines or improperly cancelled visas. Tell us about any past UAE history so we can advise honestly before you pay.
- One name only on the passport without a supporting document; message us first if this applies to you.
- Last minute applications. Give us a minimum of three working days, longer around Eid and the winter peak.
Ethiopia passport Dubai visa FAQ
When will I receive my visa?
Expect 24 to 72 hours for a Ethiopia passport. Immigration controls the timing and occasionally requests extra paperwork.
What does the 30 day visa cost?
For most passports AED 450 single entry and AED 800 multiple entry; Indian and Filipino citizens pay AED 400 and AED 750. We confirm any deposit requirement on WhatsApp.
Price of a two month visa?
For Ethiopia passports AED 650 single entry and AED 1,000 multiple entry; Indian and Filipino citizens pay AED 600 and AED 950.
Is a bank statement required for a Ethiopia passport?
Only for certain nationalities. A UAE resident family member’s statement is accepted in those cases. Regardless, carry a card or cash on arrival in case immigration asks for proof of funds. WhatsApp us to check the rule for Ethiopia.
Is in country extension possible?
Yes, without exit. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each, capped at 120 days total. Beyond that, an exit and re entry is required. Apply before the visa expires.
What happens if I overstay by a day?
No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.
Is the visa fee refundable if my application is rejected?
The fee is not returned if the visa is refused; it covers government processing. Reapplying is possible after the cause of rejection is fixed.
Can I add my child to the application?
Yes. Children require an individual visa at the standard price. We need the passport, photo and birth certificate for each minor.
Is working permitted?
Working on a tourist visa is prohibited. You can interview and explore opportunities, but employment needs a residence visa.
