Jordan passport and UAE entry rules

A prearranged visa is the standard route for most travellers, and it is the product we issue for Jordan passports. Certain passports qualify for visa on arrival, and eligibility rules shift from year to year. We confirm the current position for Jordan passports on WhatsApp so that nobody pays for a visa they do not need.

What a Dubai visa costs from Dubai

Current Dubai visa pricing for Jordan citizens, verified September 2026:

  • 30 days, single entry: AED 450
  • 60 day tourist visa, single entry: AED 650
  • 30 day tourist visa, multiple entry: AED 800
  • 60 day multiple entry: AED 1,000

Thirty days is the minimum tourist visa length, and nothing shorter exists in this category. The visa fee is paid to immigration at submission and cannot be refunded if the application is declined.

Security deposits explained

Some passports are asked for a refundable security deposit. The deposit sits apart from the visa fee, is returned after you leave the UAE, and we confirm the amount for Jordan citizens on WhatsApp before booking.

Payment options

For UAE residents applying on behalf of Jordan family or friends, payment can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp.

What Jordan citizens need to send us

Send these on WhatsApp and we can usually confirm eligibility within the hour:

  1. Front page and back cover of the passport, six months validity minimum. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. A round trip ticket, which we can also book for you if it is not yet arranged.
  4. If the applicant is a minor, a birth certificate. Certain passports additionally need a national ID card copy.

A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Jordan citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. UAE immigration may also ask arriving travellers to show proof of funds on entry, so carry a card or cash that demonstrates you can support your stay.

If a UAE resident is sponsoring you

Sponsors based in the UAE send their passport and residence visa copies with six months validity, front and back of the Emirates ID, and complete the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. Where a bank statement is needed, a family sponsor’s statement may be used instead of the applicant’s; this does not extend to friends.

Getting your Dubai visa in four steps

  1. Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 and we confirm which visa fits your plans.
  2. Settle the fee by secure link or instalments. Submission to immigration follows verification and payment.
  3. The application is filed and monitored by our team. Expect 24 to 72 hours for most Jordan applicants, with occasional delays or extra document requests from immigration.
  4. We forward the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Keep it with your passport for the airline counter and arrival immigration.

How long the Dubai visa is valid

The visa must be used to enter the UAE within 60 days of the date of issue. The 30 or 60 day stay is measured from entry, not from issuance. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Working on a tourist visa is not allowed.

Overstay rules in 2026

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. We remind Jordan travellers on WhatsApp before the expiry date, giving you time to act.

Extending a Dubai visa for Jordan passport holders

A 30 day visa can be extended three times for 30 days each, and a 60 day visa twice for 30 days each, with no exit required. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. Once you reach the maximum, you must exit and re enter, either through an airport to airport visa change or by bus to Oman. You must apply before the visa runs out; we recommend contacting us with at least seven days to spare.

Another route for Jordan passports

For Jordan travellers who prefer it, the Sharjah 60 day single entry visa costs AED 1,200 and carries no deposit. The visa allows travel throughout the UAE, not only Sharjah. We will advise on WhatsApp whether this suits Jordan citizens better than the standard visa.

Why applications get held up

  • No back cover scan. Send it together with the front page.
  • Less than six months on the passport. Immigration will not approve the visa in that case.
  • Unclear document images. A clean, well lit scan avoids delays.
  • Undisclosed immigration history. Old fines or bans affect approval, so share them with us upfront.
  • Single name passports. If your Jordan passport shows only one name and no supporting document shows a full name, the visa cannot be processed, so contact us before paying.
  • Applying too close to the travel date. Allow at least three working days, more during Eid and December.

Questions Jordan travellers ask us

When will I receive my visa?

Expect 24 to 72 hours for a Jordan passport. Immigration controls the timing and occasionally requests extra paperwork.

How much is a 30 day Dubai visa for Jordan citizens?

AED 450 single or AED 800 multiple entry. Indian and Filipino rates are AED 400 and AED 750. Deposits, where applicable, are confirmed before payment.

What does the 60 day visa cost?

AED 650 for single entry and AED 1,000 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 600 and AED 950.

Are financial documents needed?

It depends on nationality. Some passports are asked for a six month statement, and a UAE based family member can submit theirs instead. Immigration may also ask arriving travellers for proof of funds, so carry a card or cash. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the rule for Jordan passports.

Can the visa be extended?

It can be extended in country: three times for a 30 day visa, twice for a 60 day visa, 30 days each, with a 120 day ceiling. After that, exit and re enter on a new visa.

Is there a grace period after the Dubai visa expires?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Is the visa fee refundable if my application is rejected?

No. Visa fees, including the service fee, are not refundable if immigration rejects the application, because the government charge is paid at submission. You may reapply after addressing the reason for refusal.

What about children on Jordan passports?

Yes. Minors receive their own visa at the adult price, and we ask for a birth certificate with the usual documents.

Is working permitted?

No. The visa is for visiting only. Taking up work requires an employment visa arranged by a UAE employer.
