Kenya passport and UAE entry rules

Unless a passport qualifies for visa on arrival, a prearranged tourist visa is required, and that is what we provide. Certain passports qualify for visa on arrival, and eligibility rules shift from year to year. We confirm the current position for Kenya passports on WhatsApp so that nobody pays for a visa they do not need.

Kenya passport Dubai visa fees

Current Dubai visa pricing for Kenya citizens, verified September 2026:

  • 30 day single entry: AED 450
  • 60 days, single entry: AED 650
  • 30 days, multiple entry: AED 800
  • 60 day tourist visa, multiple entry: AED 1,000

The 30 day visa is the shortest tourist option the UAE offers. All visa fees, including our service fee, are not refundable if immigration rejects the application, because the government charge is paid at submission.

A note on deposits

Some passports are asked for a refundable security deposit. This is independent of the visa cost, refunded once you depart the UAE, and we tell Kenya applicants in advance whether one applies.

Pay in monthly instalments

UAE residents applying for a family member or friend from Kenya can split the visa fee using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link.

Paperwork for a Dubai visa

WhatsApp us the following and expect an eligibility answer within about an hour:

  1. Passport scan showing the front page and the back cover, valid for at least six months. A missing back cover is the most common reason an application is returned, so please include both.
  2. A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
  3. A return or two way flight ticket; if you do not have one, we can arrange the flights.
  4. For minors, a birth certificate. For a few nationalities, a copy of the national ID card is also required.

Bank statement requirements depend on nationality. Should Kenya be one of the passports that needs one, a relative in the UAE can submit their own statement for you. UAE immigration may also ask arriving travellers to show proof of funds on entry, so carry a card or cash that demonstrates you can support your stay.

Sponsor requirements

If a relative or friend living in the UAE is sponsoring a Kenya traveller, they provide their passport copy and residence visa page, each with six months validity, Emirates ID front and back, and fill in the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. The sponsor’s bank statement can stand in for the applicant’s where one is required, but this applies to family members only, not friends.

Getting your Dubai visa in four steps

  1. Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133. We check them the same day and tell you which visa suits your travel dates.
  2. Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Processing starts only after documents are verified and payment is received.
  3. The application is filed and monitored by our team. Expect 24 to 72 hours for most Kenya applicants, with occasional delays or extra document requests from immigration.
  4. The approved visa arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp. Carry a printed or digital copy for the airline and for immigration on arrival.

Key dates to remember

You have 60 days from the issue date to enter the UAE. Your 30 or 60 days of stay begin on the day you enter, not on the day the visa is issued. Single entry means one arrival only, while multiple entry allows repeated exits and returns during the validity period, useful for side trips to Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. The visa is for visiting only and does not allow you to take up work.

No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine

Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. We send Kenya clients a reminder on WhatsApp before the visa expires so that you can extend or exit in time.

Extending a Dubai visa for Kenya passport holders

The 30 day visa allows three extensions of 30 days and the 60 day visa allows two, without leaving the country. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. When the extensions are used up, Kenya visitors must exit and return on a fresh visa, either by a same day flight or by the Oman bus route. Extensions are only accepted before expiry, so message us while you still have a week or more left.

Sharjah visa option

A Sharjah issued 60 day single entry visa is available at AED 1,200 with no security deposit. It is valid for the whole UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We will advise on WhatsApp whether this suits Kenya citizens better than the standard visa.

Mistakes Kenya applicants should avoid

  • Back cover not sent. It is the most common omission, so attach it from the start.
  • Passport validity under six months. Renew before applying.
  • Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
  • Undisclosed immigration history. Old fines or bans affect approval, so share them with us upfront.
  • Passports bearing a single name, which require a supporting document before we can apply.
  • Booking flights before the visa is approved without allowing enough processing time.

Answers for Kenya citizens

How many days until approval?

Usually one to three working days. The decision rests with immigration, and delays are possible, so do not book non changeable flights until the visa is issued.

Cheapest Dubai visa option?

For most passports AED 450 single entry and AED 800 multiple entry; Indian and Filipino citizens pay AED 400 and AED 750. We confirm any deposit requirement on WhatsApp.

60 day visa fee for Kenya citizens?

For Kenya passports AED 650 single entry and AED 1,000 multiple entry; Indian and Filipino citizens pay AED 600 and AED 950.

Are financial documents needed?

It depends on nationality. Some passports are asked for a six month statement, and a UAE based family member can submit theirs instead. Immigration may also ask arriving travellers for proof of funds, so carry a card or cash. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the rule for Kenya passports.

Can I extend a Dubai visa without leaving the UAE?

Yes, without exit. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each, capped at 120 days total. Beyond that, an exit and re entry is required. Apply before the visa expires.

Are there any grace days?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

What if immigration refuses my Dubai visa?

Fees are not refunded on rejection, as the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. A fresh application can be made once the issue is resolved.

Is there a visa for minors?

Yes. Minors receive their own visa at the adult price, and we ask for a birth certificate with the usual documents.

Can I look for a job on this visa?

No. The visa is for visiting only. Taking up work requires an employment visa arranged by a UAE employer.
