Does a Lithuania passport need a deposit?

1. Front page and back cover of the passport, six months validity minimum. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
2. One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
3. A round trip ticket, which we can also book for you if it is not yet arranged.
4. A birth certificate for children under 18. Some nationalities must also provide a national ID copy.

A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Lithuania citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand.

Applying through a family member or friend in the UAE

For sponsored applications the UAE resident supplies a passport copy and residence visa page valid for six months, both sides of their Emirates ID, and the online guarantee form at applyvisa.app. The sponsor’s bank statement can stand in for the applicant’s where one is required, but this applies to family members only, not friends.

Validity and duration of stay

The permit is valid for entry for 60 days from issue. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. A tourist visa does not permit employment in the UAE.

What happens if you overstay

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. We remind Lithuania travellers on WhatsApp before the expiry date, giving you time to act.

Visa extension without leaving the UAE

The 30 day visa allows three extensions of 30 days and the 60 day visa allows two, without leaving the country. Total time in the UAE cannot exceed 120 days. After the limit, the only way to stay on is to leave and come back on a new visa, by air through an airport to airport change or by bus via Oman. Apply for the extension ahead of the expiry date, ideally a week before.

Another route for Lithuania passports

Mistakes Lithuania applicants should avoid

• Back cover not sent. It is the most common omission, so attach it from the start.
• Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
• Poor quality scans. Make sure the whole page is visible and readable.
• Past visa problems in the UAE. We assess these before submission so that you are not surprised by a refusal.
• Single name passports. If your Lithuania passport shows only one name and no supporting document shows a full name, the visa cannot be processed, so contact us before paying.
• Applying too close to the travel date. Allow at least three working days, more during Eid and December.

Is the visa fee refundable if my application is rejected?

No. Visa fees, including the service fee, are not refundable if immigration rejects the application, because the government charge is paid at submission. You may reapply after addressing the reason for refusal.

Can children from Lithuania apply for a Dubai visa?
