Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.

We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.

Who needs a prearranged Dubai visa?

Most nationalities need a prearranged visa before flying to the UAE, and that is what we issue. A limited number of passports receive a visa on arrival at UAE airports, and the list changes from time to time. If you are unsure whether a Maldives passport falls under visa on arrival or needs a prearranged Dubai visa, send us a photo of the passport on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you pay anything.

Maldives passport Dubai visa fees

Current Dubai visa pricing for Maldives citizens, verified September 2026:

  • Single entry 30 day visa: AED 450
  • 60 day single entry: AED 650
  • 30 day multiple entry: AED 800
  • 60 day tourist visa, multiple entry: AED 1,000

No tourist visa shorter than 30 days is available. Should immigration refuse the application, the fee is not returned, as it covers government processing.

Security deposits explained

Some passports are asked for a refundable security deposit. It is not part of the prices listed, it comes back to you after your exit from the country, and we state clearly on WhatsApp whether a Maldives passport is affected.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

UAE residents applying for a family member or friend from Maldives can split the visa fee using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.

Paperwork for a Dubai visa

Send these on WhatsApp and we can usually confirm eligibility within the hour:

  1. Your passport data page plus a photo of the back cover, with six months or more validity. We ask for both because the back cover is the item most often forgotten.
  2. A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
  3. A return or two way flight ticket; if you do not have one, we can arrange the flights.
  4. Birth certificate for any child applicant. A national ID copy is required for some nationalities.

Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Maldives applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand.

Applying through a family member or friend in the UAE

For sponsored applications the UAE resident supplies a passport copy and residence visa page valid for six months, both sides of their Emirates ID, and the online guarantee form at applyvisa.app. The sponsor’s bank statement can stand in for the applicant’s where one is required, but this applies to family members only, not friends.

How Maldives citizens apply

  1. Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp with your documents. We verify everything and advise on the best option for your dates.
  2. Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We submit the application once documents and payment are in place.
  3. We submit the application to immigration and keep you updated. Most Maldives applications are approved in 24 to 72 hours, though immigration may occasionally take longer or request additional documents.
  4. Once approved, we send the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Show it at check in and at UAE immigration together with your passport.

Validity, entry and stay rules for Maldives visitors

The visa must be used to enter the UAE within 60 days of the date of issue. The 30 or 60 day stay is measured from entry, not from issuance. Single entry means one arrival only, while multiple entry allows repeated exits and returns during the validity period, useful for side trips to Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. A tourist visa does not permit employment in the UAE.

Why the expiry date matters

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. Our team messages Maldives visitors on WhatsApp ahead of expiry so there is time to extend or leave.

Extending a Dubai visa for Maldives passport holders

The 30 day visa allows three extensions of 30 days and the 60 day visa allows two, without leaving the country. Combined stay is capped at 120 days. At the 120 day point, a new visa requires an exit, which can be done by an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. Extension applications must be submitted before the current visa expires, so contact us with at least a week remaining.

Another route for Maldives passports

For Maldives travellers who prefer it, the Sharjah 60 day single entry visa costs AED 1,200 and carries no deposit. It is valid for the whole UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Ask us on WhatsApp which option is better for a Maldives passport.

Why applications get held up

  • Leaving out the back cover, which immigration requires alongside the data page.
  • A passport expiring within six months of travel.
  • Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
  • Undisclosed immigration history. Old fines or bans affect approval, so share them with us upfront.
  • Passports bearing a single name, which require a supporting document before we can apply.
  • Applying too close to the travel date. Allow at least three working days, more during Eid and December.

Frequently asked questions about Dubai visa for Maldives passport

How many days until approval?

Most applications are approved within 24 to 72 hours. Processing time is decided by immigration and can be longer if additional documents are requested, so apply at least three working days before travel.

How much is a 30 day Dubai visa for Maldives citizens?

AED 450 for single entry and AED 800 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 400 and AED 750. A refundable deposit may apply for some nationalities and is confirmed on WhatsApp.

Price of a two month visa?

For Maldives passports AED 650 single entry and AED 1,000 multiple entry; Indian and Filipino citizens pay AED 600 and AED 950.

Will immigration ask for proof of funds?

It depends on nationality. Some passports are asked for a six month statement, and a UAE based family member can submit theirs instead. Immigration may also ask arriving travellers for proof of funds, so carry a card or cash. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the rule for Maldives passports.

Is in country extension possible?

Yes. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days, up to a total stay of 120 days, without exiting. After that you must leave and re enter through an airport to airport change or by bus. Applications must be made before expiry.

Is there a grace period after the Dubai visa expires?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Refund policy on rejection?

Fees are not refunded on rejection, as the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. A fresh application can be made once the issue is resolved.

Is there a visa for minors?

Yes. Each child needs their own visa and pays the same fee as an adult. Send the child’s passport, photo and birth certificate on WhatsApp along with the parents’ documents.

Does the tourist visa allow employment?

Working on a tourist visa is prohibited. You can interview and explore opportunities, but employment needs a residence visa.
