Papua New Guinea passport and UAE entry rules
The majority of passports require a visa arranged in advance, which is the service described on this page. A shorter list of nationalities can enter with a stamp on arrival, and that list moves occasionally. We confirm the current position for Papua New Guinea passports on WhatsApp so that nobody pays for a visa they do not need.
How much does a Dubai visa cost for Papua New Guinea citizens?
These are our current prices for a Dubai visa on a Papua New Guinea passport, checked in September 2026:
- 30 day single entry: AED 450
- Single entry 60 day visa: AED 650
- 30 days, multiple entry: AED 800
- 60 day tourist visa, multiple entry: AED 1,000
No tourist visa shorter than 30 days is available. The visa fee is paid to immigration at submission and cannot be refunded if the application is declined.
Refundable security deposit for some nationalities
For a limited set of countries a refundable deposit is requested. It is not part of the prices listed, it comes back to you after your exit from the country, and we state clearly on WhatsApp whether a Papua New Guinea passport is affected.
Payment options
If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Papua New Guinea passport, the fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.

Documents required for a Dubai visa on a Papua New Guinea passport
WhatsApp us the following and expect an eligibility answer within about an hour:
- A clear scan of your Papua New Guinea passport, both the data page and the back cover, with at least six months validity. Missing back covers cause most resubmissions.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
- A two way air ticket. If you have not booked flights yet, we can book them for you.
- If the applicant is a minor, a birth certificate. Certain passports additionally need a national ID card copy.
Bank statement requirements depend on nationality. Should Papua New Guinea be one of the passports that needs one, a relative in the UAE can submit their own statement for you. UAE immigration may also ask arriving travellers to show proof of funds on entry, so carry a card or cash that demonstrates you can support your stay.
Guarantor documents
When a UAE resident applies on behalf of a Papua New Guinea visitor, we also need the sponsor’s passport copy valid for six months, residence visa page valid for six months, Emirates ID front and back, and the guarantee form completed at applyvisa.app. If a statement is requested, a UAE family member may supply it on the applicant’s behalf, but a friend’s statement is not accepted.
Getting your Dubai visa in four steps
- Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 and we confirm which visa fits your plans.
- Make the payment through the link we send. The application goes to immigration as soon as payment clears and documents are approved.
- We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Papua New Guinea citizens is 24 to 72 hours, subject to immigration’s discretion.
- The approved visa arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp. Carry a printed or digital copy for the airline and for immigration on arrival.
How long the Dubai visa is valid
Entry must take place within 60 days of issue, or the visa lapses. The 30 or 60 day stay is measured from entry, not from issuance. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Employment is not permitted on a tourist visa.
What happens if you overstay
There is no grace period on a UAE tourist visa. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. We remind Papua New Guinea travellers on WhatsApp before the expiry date, giving you time to act.

Staying longer than 30 or 60 days
A 30 day visa can be extended three times for 30 days each, and a 60 day visa twice for 30 days each, with no exit required. Combined stay is capped at 120 days. Once you reach the maximum, you must exit and re enter, either through an airport to airport visa change or by bus to Oman. You must apply before the visa runs out; we recommend contacting us with at least seven days to spare.
Another route for Papua New Guinea passports
An alternative is the 60 day single entry visa issued through Sharjah, priced at AED 1,200 without any deposit. It is valid for the whole UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We will advise on WhatsApp whether this suits Papua New Guinea citizens better than the standard visa.
How to keep your application on track
- Back cover not sent. It is the most common omission, so attach it from the start.
- Passport validity under six months. Renew before applying.
- Unclear document images. A clean, well lit scan avoids delays.
- Past visa problems in the UAE. We assess these before submission so that you are not surprised by a refusal.
- Passports bearing a single name, which require a supporting document before we can apply.
- Last minute applications. Give us a minimum of three working days, longer around Eid and the winter peak.
Papua New Guinea passport Dubai visa FAQ
When will I receive my visa?
Most applications are approved within 24 to 72 hours. Processing time is decided by immigration and can be longer if additional documents are requested, so apply at least three working days before travel.
How much is a 30 day Dubai visa for Papua New Guinea citizens?
AED 450 single or AED 800 multiple entry. Indian and Filipino rates are AED 400 and AED 750. Deposits, where applicable, are confirmed before payment.
How much is a 60 day Dubai visa for Papua New Guinea passport holders?
AED 650 single or AED 1,000 multiple entry, with the Indian and Filipino tariff at AED 600 and AED 950.
Do I need to show a bank statement?
It depends on nationality. Some passports are asked for a six month statement, and a UAE based family member can submit theirs instead. Immigration may also ask arriving travellers for proof of funds, so carry a card or cash. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the rule for Papua New Guinea passports.
Is in country extension possible?
Yes. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days, up to a total stay of 120 days, without exiting. After that you must leave and re enter through an airport to airport change or by bus. Applications must be made before expiry.
What happens if I overstay by a day?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Can I get my money back on refusal?
Fees are not refunded on rejection, as the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. A fresh application can be made once the issue is resolved.
What about children on Papua New Guinea passports?
Yes. Each child needs their own visa and pays the same fee as an adult. Send the child’s passport, photo and birth certificate on WhatsApp along with the parents’ documents.
Does the tourist visa allow employment?
Working on a tourist visa is prohibited. You can interview and explore opportunities, but employment needs a residence visa.
