Sponsors based in the UAE send their passport and residence visa copies with six months validity, front and back of the Emirates ID, and complete the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. If a statement is requested, a UAE family member may supply it on the applicant’s behalf, but a friend’s statement is not accepted.
The application process step by step

How long the Dubai visa is valid
The permit is valid for entry for 60 days from issue. Your permitted stay runs from the entry stamp, not from the issue date. Choose single entry for a straightforward visit, or multiple entry if you plan to hop to Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar and come back. A tourist visa does not permit employment in the UAE.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
There is no grace period on a UAE tourist visa. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. We remind Switzerland travellers on WhatsApp before the expiry date, giving you time to act.
Staying longer than 30 or 60 days
A 30 day visa can be extended three times for 30 days each, and a 60 day visa twice for 30 days each, with no exit required. The maximum total stay is 120 days. Once you reach the maximum, you must exit and re enter, either through an airport to airport visa change or by bus to Oman. Apply for the extension ahead of the expiry date, ideally a week before.
Sharjah 60 day visa
We can also issue a Sharjah 60 day single entry visa for AED 1,200, which requires no security deposit. It works for the entire country, including Dubai. We will advise on WhatsApp whether this suits Switzerland citizens better than the standard visa.
Why applications get held up
- Missing passport back cover. Include it with your first message to avoid resubmission.
- A passport expiring within six months of travel.
- Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
- Previous overstays, unpaid fines or improperly cancelled visas. Tell us about any past UAE history so we can advise honestly before you pay.
- Single name passports. If your Switzerland passport shows only one name and no supporting document shows a full name, the visa cannot be processed, so contact us before paying.
- Applying too close to the travel date. Allow at least three working days, more during Eid and December.
