Do Taiwan passport holders need a Dubai visa?
The majority of passports require a visa arranged in advance, which is the service described on this page. A limited number of passports receive a visa on arrival at UAE airports, and the list changes from time to time. Message us a photo of your Taiwan passport on WhatsApp and we will confirm which rule applies before any payment is taken.
What a Dubai visa costs from Dubai
Our rate card for Taiwan passports, confirmed in September 2026, is as follows:
- Single entry 30 day visa: AED 450
- Single entry 60 day visa: AED 650
- 30 day tourist visa, multiple entry: AED 800
- 60 days, multiple entry: AED 1,000
No tourist visa shorter than 30 days is available. The visa fee is paid to immigration at submission and cannot be refunded if the application is declined.
Security deposits explained
Some passports are asked for a refundable security deposit. It is separate from the visa price above, it is refunded after the visitor exits the UAE, and we will confirm on WhatsApp whether it applies to Taiwan passports and how much it is.
Spreading the cost
Residents of the UAE booking for Taiwan visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.
Documents required for a Dubai visa on a Taiwan passport
Send these on WhatsApp and we can usually confirm eligibility within the hour:
- Front page and back cover of the passport, six months validity minimum. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- A round trip ticket, which we can also book for you if it is not yet arranged.
- A birth certificate for children under 18. Some nationalities must also provide a national ID copy.
Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Taiwan applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. UAE immigration may also ask arriving travellers to show proof of funds on entry, so carry a card or cash that demonstrates you can support your stay.
If a UAE resident is sponsoring you
When a UAE resident applies on behalf of a Taiwan visitor, we also need the sponsor’s passport copy valid for six months, residence visa page valid for six months, Emirates ID front and back, and the guarantee form completed at applyvisa.app. A family member’s UAE bank statement can replace the visitor’s statement if one is required, though friends cannot substitute theirs.
How to apply for a Dubai visa from Taiwan

- Make the payment through the link we send. The application goes to immigration as soon as payment clears and documents are approved.
- We submit the application to immigration and keep you updated. Most Taiwan applications are approved in 24 to 72 hours, though immigration may occasionally take longer or request additional documents.
- You receive the approved visa as a PDF on WhatsApp. Print a copy or keep it on your phone and present it with your passport at check in and on arrival.
Validity and duration of stay
The visa must be used to enter the UAE within 60 days of the date of issue. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. With single entry you may arrive once; multiple entry permits several arrivals within the validity, ideal for regional itineraries that pass through Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Employment is not permitted on a tourist visa.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. A WhatsApp reminder from us before expiry helps Taiwan visitors avoid fines.
Can Taiwan citizens extend the visa?
The 30 day visa allows three extensions of 30 days and the 60 day visa allows two, without leaving the country. Total time in the UAE cannot exceed 120 days. When the extensions are used up, Taiwan visitors must exit and return on a fresh visa, either by a same day flight or by the Oman bus route. Extension applications must be submitted before the current visa expires, so contact us with at least a week remaining.
Sharjah 60 day visa
An alternative is the 60 day single entry visa issued through Sharjah, priced at AED 1,200 without any deposit. The visa allows travel throughout the UAE, not only Sharjah. Ask us on WhatsApp which option is better for a Taiwan passport.
Why applications get held up
- Leaving out the back cover, which immigration requires alongside the data page.
- A passport expiring within six months of travel.
- Poor quality scans. Make sure the whole page is visible and readable.
- Previous overstays, unpaid fines or improperly cancelled visas. Tell us about any past UAE history so we can advise honestly before you pay.
- Passports bearing a single name, which require a supporting document before we can apply.
- Tight timelines. Three working days is the minimum, and peak seasons need more.

Typically 24 to 72 hours. Immigration sets the timeline and may ask for more documents, so allow three working days or more before your flight.
What does the 30 day visa cost?
AED 450 for single entry and AED 800 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 400 and AED 750. A refundable deposit may apply for some nationalities and is confirmed on WhatsApp.
What does the 60 day visa cost?
AED 650 for single entry and AED 1,000 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 600 and AED 950.
Is a bank statement required for a Taiwan passport?

What if I want to stay longer?
Yes. Extensions of 30 days are available three times on a 30 day visa and twice on a 60 day visa, all from inside the UAE, up to 120 days. Once exhausted, a visa change by air or bus is needed.
When do fines start?
No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.
Refund policy on rejection?
Fees are not refunded on rejection, as the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. A fresh application can be made once the issue is resolved.
Is there a visa for minors?
Yes. Children require an individual visa at the standard price. We need the passport, photo and birth certificate for each minor.
Does the tourist visa allow employment?
Employment is not allowed on a tourist visa. Job seekers can meet employers, but a work permit and residence visa are required before starting work.
