- Book your a2a visa change with White Sky Travel
For travellers from Tunisia, a a2a visa change means leaving the UAE on a short flight and coming back the same day with a brand new 60 day tourist visa. At White Sky Travel we book the return flight, file the new visa as soon as your exit stamp is recorded, and keep in touch on WhatsApp from check in to arrival.
In short: Tunisia passport holders pay AED 1,550 for a a2a visa change, which covers the return flight from Dubai, the 60 day single entry visa and our coordination, with most travellers back in Dubai within six to twelve hours.
Looking to extend your stay in the UAE?
Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.
What is a a2a visa change?
A a2a visa change works on one principle: you must be outside UAE territory before a new tourist visa can be activated against your passport. Immigration only links a new visa to a Tunisia passport once the holder has left the UAE, which is why the flight is essential. Flying is the fastest way to satisfy that rule. From Dubai you would normally fly to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha and return to Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours.
Some visitors choose the Oman bus route instead, though it is slower and involves sleeping near the border crossing. A a2a visa change costs more than the bus, yet it saves a day and suits families, older travellers and anyone with work or school commitments in Dubai.
When Tunisia passport holders need a a2a visa change
Many UAE visit visas can be extended without leaving, which means a a2a visa change is only needed in specific cases. These are the situations where Tunisia travellers should book one:
- All your extensions are used up. The UAE allows a 30 day visa to be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, and total stay cannot go beyond 120 days.
- Your employer has cancelled your residence visa. Cancellation papers cannot be extended, so a a2a visa change converts you to a 60 day tourist visa.
- The expiry date has passed. Extension is no longer possible, so a a2a visa change after paying any fine is the way forward.
- Your entry stamp is one that immigration does not extend, which applies to some on arrival and multiple entry visas. We can confirm the rules for Tunisia passports on WhatsApp.
Why timing matters in 2026
An expired visa attracts a fine of AED 50 per day, and that figure is the same for every visa category and every emirate. No grace period applies to visit visas, so the counter starts the very next day. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. Because the fee is the same whenever you book, the smart move is to reach out while 10 to 15 days remain on your visa.

Price of a a2a visa change on a Tunisia passport
At White Sky Travel a a2a visa change costs AED 1,550 and includes the flydubai return ticket and a 60 day single entry tourist visa. There is one rate for both tourist visa renewals and residence cancellation cases. Included are the ticket, the visa processing and our WhatsApp guidance from booking to entry.
- What you receive: a 60 day single entry tourist visa for the UAE
- Flight: flydubai return ticket from Dubai Terminal 2 to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha
- Processing: visa applied while you are outside the UAE and sent to your WhatsApp as a PDF
- Support: our consultants on WhatsApp from booking until you clear immigration
- Rate: AED 1,550 per person
We do not offer a 30 day a2a visa change. A 30 day visa costs nearly the same to process and gives you half the time, so the 60 day option is better value in every case we see. An AED 100 supplement applies to certain passports that need extra processing time. Ask us whether Tunisia is on that list before you book. Fines for overstaying are cleared by the passenger at the airport and sit outside the package price.
Some Tunisia applicants may need to place a refundable security deposit. It is independent of the visa price, is returned after you exit the country, and we state the amount clearly on WhatsApp first.
Pay in instalments
For UAE residents sponsoring a Tunisia family member or friend, the AED 1,550 can be split with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online.
Documents required for a Tunisia passport
Message us these items on WhatsApp and we will normally confirm your eligibility within an hour:
- Your passport data page plus a photo of the back cover. We ask for both because the back cover is the item most often forgotten.
- Six months minimum validity from your flight date, two blank pages, and a passport in clean condition.
- One colour passport photo on a plain white background, no more than six months old.
- A copy of the visa you are on now, or the official cancellation paper if your residency was cancelled.
Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Tunisia applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand. Please complete the guarantee form at applyvisa.app once we confirm your booking.
How the day unfolds for a Tunisia passport holder
Three to five days ahead
Once your documents are approved we book the flydubai seat, send you the ticket and ask you to clear any fines in the GDRFA or ICP app. If your visa has not expired, there is nothing to pay at the airport. Book for Monday to Thursday if you can, as a Friday delay can stretch over the weekend.
At the airport
Reach Terminal 2 at Dubai International about five hours early, check in with flydubai and ask for the outbound and return boarding passes together. Photograph both passes and send them to us on WhatsApp. Your exit stamp ends the current visa, and we lodge the fresh visa the instant the exit appears in the system.
In Muscat, Kuwait or Doha
You will be in the air for about an hour. Because you do not leave the airport, Tunisia passport holders need no visa for the transit country. Most applications clear within a few hours, and the approved visa reaches your WhatsApp as a PDF. Occasionally immigration orders a security check, extending the wait to 24 to 48 hours. You can remain at the airport and we will monitor the status with you.
Re entry
Holding the approved PDF, you may pass through the Terminal 2 eGate. Should the visa still be pending on landing, avoid the eGate, use the manual counters and wait in the Terminal 2 holding area until we confirm. Your 60 days begin on the entry date.
Should Tunisia travellers extend, fly or take the bus?
Before flying, check whether you qualify for the AED 1,200 in country extension, which adds 30 days without leaving. Once extension is off the table, the a2a visa change is the better option, giving 60 days for AED 1,550. The Dubai to Oman bus is the budget option, starting from AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for visit visa holders, but it takes one to two days with an overnight stay. Most Tunisia passport holders find the flight worth the difference for the time it saves.

Common problems for Tunisia applicants and how we prevent them
- Leaving it to the last minute. Seats disappear around Eid, December and January, so contact us a week or more in advance.
- Less than six months on the passport. Immigration will not approve a visa in that case, so renew first.
- Ticket name errors. We need the full name exactly as printed in the Tunisia passport.
- Unpaid fines. Immigration will not let you board with outstanding overstay fines, so check and pay through the GDRFA or ICP app before you reach the airport.
- Expecting extra days after expiry. The UAE gives visitors none, so plan around the exact date.
- Hidden immigration records. Let us know about earlier problems so we can assess the risk honestly before booking.
Answers for Tunisia citizens
What is the total time from departure to return?
Six to twelve hours is normal. Security checks occasionally push it to 24 to 48 hours, and you can wait at the airport throughout.
How many times can a Tunisia citizen do a a2a visa change?
No official cap exists, though immigration reviews each case separately and frequent repeats draw more attention. Most Tunisia visitors do one or two before obtaining residency or departing.
Does this work after residency cancellation?
Absolutely. Cancelled residents from Tunisia are converted to a 60 day tourist visa through a a2a visa change at the standard AED 1,550.
Which country will I transit through?
The destination is usually Muscat, though Kuwait City and Doha are also used. All three allow a same day turnaround.
Is a transit visa required?
No. You remain airside at the transit airport, so no visa for that country is needed.
Is there a family option?
Yes. Children require individual tickets and visas, and we prepare a single quote for the whole family.
What happens on rejection?
Rejection is uncommon. Should it happen, you would need to fly on to your home country or another destination, and the visa fee is not refundable as it is a government charge. We flag risks before booking so that this does not come as a surprise.
Is it lawful to do this?
Yes. You leave on the current visa and return on a new one granted by UAE immigration. Using a licensed agency keeps the application within official channels.
