When a visitor from Turkey has run out of extension options, a a2a visa change is the practical answer: a short flight out, a new visa issued while you wait, and a return within hours. At White Sky Travel we book the return flight, file the new visa as soon as your exit stamp is recorded, and keep in touch on WhatsApp from check in to arrival.
In short: Turkey passport holders pay AED 1,550 for a a2a visa change, which covers the return flight from Dubai, the 60 day single entry visa and our coordination, with most travellers back in Dubai within six to twelve hours.
Looking to extend your stay in the UAE?
Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.
What is a a2a visa change?
A a2a visa change is simply a controlled exit followed by a fresh entry. Immigration only links a new visa to a Turkey passport once the holder has left the UAE, which is why the flight is essential. A short flight is the quickest way to meet that condition. The usual routing from Dubai is to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha, and most travellers are back in the arrivals hall at Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours of departure.
Some visitors choose the Oman bus route instead, though it is slower and involves sleeping near the border crossing. A a2a visa change costs more than the bus, yet it saves a day and suits families, older travellers and anyone with work or school commitments in Dubai.
Situations where Turkey citizens need a a2a visa change
Since in country extension exists, a a2a visa change is the right move only when extension is no longer possible. Here is when it becomes the right choice for a Turkey passport holder:
- You have used every in country extension available. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days, up to a total stay of 120 days.
- Your UAE residence visa has been cancelled. A cancelled residency cannot be extended, so we convert your status to a 60 day tourist visa through a a2a visa change.
- You missed the extension deadline. With fines already running, a a2a visa change is the fastest way to regularise your status.
- You entered on a visa type that cannot be extended in country, such as certain on arrival stamps or multiple entry permits. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm which category your Turkey passport falls under.
Why timing matters in 2026
Every day past expiry costs AED 50 in fines, whichever emirate issued the visa and whichever visa type you hold. Tourist and visit visas carry no grace period, which means fines begin immediately after the expiry date. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. Because the fee is the same whenever you book, the smart move is to reach out while 10 to 15 days remain on your visa.

How much does a a2a visa change cost?
We offer one product: a 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa with a flydubai return ticket for AED 1,550. Tourist visa holders and cancelled residents pay an identical amount. The amount includes the flight, the government visa fee and our support throughout the day.
- New UAE tourist visa: 60 days, single entry
- Airline: flydubai, departing and returning at Dubai Terminal 2
- How you get it: a PDF copy on WhatsApp while you wait at the transit airport
- Assistance: WhatsApp support throughout, including on the day of travel
- Fee: AED 1,550 per adult traveller
We do not offer a 30 day a2a visa change. A 30 day visa costs nearly the same to process and gives you half the time, so the 60 day option is better value in every case we see. A surcharge of AED 100 applies to a small number of nationalities that require additional processing, and we will tell you before you pay whether a Turkey passport is affected. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller at the immigration desk before departure and are not part of the package.
A refundable security deposit may apply for some nationalities. It is separate from the visa price, it is returned after you exit the UAE at the end of your stay, and we confirm the amount for Turkey passports on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
Instalment options
Residents of the UAE who book on behalf of Turkey visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online.
a2a visa change documents for Turkey passport holders
Message us these items on WhatsApp and we will normally confirm your eligibility within an hour:
- Your passport data page plus a photo of the back cover. We ask for both because the back cover is the item most often forgotten.
- Passport validity of at least six months from the planned travel date, with at least two blank pages and no damage.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear, taken recently.
- Whatever permit you currently hold: the tourist visa copy or the residence cancellation paper.
Some nationalities may be asked for a six month bank statement, and where that applies to a Turkey passport a UAE based family member’s statement can be submitted on your behalf. Please also carry a card or some cash on the return flight, since immigration can ask arriving visitors to show proof of funds. Before the flight we will send you a link to the guarantee form at applyvisa.app, which takes a few minutes to complete.
The a2a visa change process from start to finish
Before travel
We confirm your flydubai flight, share the ticket and remind you to settle any overstay fine through the GDRFA or ICP app. With a valid visa, no payment is due at the airport. We always advise Turkey travellers to fly Monday to Thursday, because a Friday departure that hits a delay can mean waiting through the Saturday and Sunday weekend.
Check in and exit at Dubai Terminal 2
Get to Terminal 2 five hours ahead, complete flydubai check in and take both boarding passes. WhatsApp us photos of both boarding passes before you go through immigration. Immigration then stamps you out, which formally ends your current visa, and the moment your exit registers we submit your new visa application.
In Muscat, Kuwait or Doha
You will be in the air for about an hour. There is no need to enter the transit country; you stay airside and check in for the return sector. Approval usually arrives within hours, and you receive the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Should a security check be triggered, expect 24 to 48 hours. The airline lets you wait airside and we stay on WhatsApp until the visa is issued.
Arrival at Terminal 2
Holding the approved PDF, you may pass through the Terminal 2 eGate. If the visa is still processing when you land, do not use the eGate; go to a manual immigration counter and wait in the designated area until we confirm approval. Your 60 days begin on the entry date.
Choosing between a a2a visa change, extension and the Oman bus
Where an extension is still possible, take it: the in country option costs AED 1,200 for 30 days and requires no flight. When you can no longer extend, a a2a visa change provides twice the stay of an extension for AED 1,550. The Dubai to Oman bus is the budget option, starting from AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for visit visa holders, but it takes one to two days with an overnight stay. For the majority of travellers from Turkey, the a2a visa change is the more comfortable and predictable route.

Common problems for Turkey applicants and how we prevent them
- Waiting until the final days. Peak periods such as Eid, December and January fill flights quickly.
- Short passport validity. Applications on passports with under six months remaining are refused.
- Name mismatch. The name on the ticket must match the Turkey passport exactly, including middle names.
- Outstanding fines. Clear them in the GDRFA or ICP app before travel, or you will be stopped at immigration.
- Expecting extra days after expiry. The UAE gives visitors none, so plan around the exact date.
- Previous immigration issues. Old bans, unresolved cases or improperly cancelled visas can affect approval, so tell us about them before you pay.
Questions Turkey travellers ask us
How long does a a2a visa change take for a Turkey passport?
Typically six to twelve hours from departure to re entry. Some applications need 24 to 48 hours if immigration orders a security check, and the airline allows you to wait at the airport in that case.
How many times can a Turkey citizen do a a2a visa change?
You may repeat it, but approval is never automatic and repeated changes are scrutinised. One or two is typical.
My residency was cancelled. Can I still apply?
Yes. This is the most common case we handle. Your employer cancels the residency, you receive the cancellation paper, and we convert you to a 60 day tourist visa at the same AED 1,550 rate.
Which country will I transit through?
The destination is usually Muscat, though Kuwait City and Doha are also used. All three allow a same day turnaround.
Do Turkey passport holders need an Oman visa for this?
No. For a same day return you stay in the international transit area and do not pass through the other country’s immigration.
Can my children travel on the same package?
Yes. Each child needs their own ticket and visa. Send us the family’s passports on WhatsApp and we will quote for the group.
What if my visa is not approved?
Refusal is rare but final. You would need to travel elsewhere and the visa fee is retained by the authorities. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
Are visa changes by air allowed?
Yes. It is a standard immigration process: you exit on your old visa and enter on a new one issued by UAE authorities. Always use a licensed agency so the visa is applied through official channels.
