Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. Who from Belgium can apply for a Visa extension?

Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. Timing your Visa extension

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. What happens if you miss the deadline

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Belgium visitor has to exit.
