Visa extension without exit for Benin passport holders

For travellers from Benin, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. This page explains who qualifies, what a Benin passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.

The essentials for Benin citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.

What is a Visa extension without exit?

An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Benin passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.

Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. For Benin visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.

Is a Visa extension available for Benin citizens?

A Visa extension is available when the visa type allows it, the extension count has not been exhausted, and the application goes through the original issuer. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Benin passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.

  • Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
  • Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
  • Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.

If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. This service does not cover visa on arrival stamps or residence permits.

How much does a Visa extension cost?

A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Benin included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.

  • One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
  • 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)

This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. Compared with the exit routes, the extension is usually the better value for a Benin visitor who needs 30 more days, while a new 60 day visa through airport to airport or bus makes more sense when you need the full two months and have no extensions left.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Benin can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.

Visa extension requirements for Benin passport holders

Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:

  1. A clear copy of your Benin passport, valid for at least six months.
  2. One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
  3. A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.

Bank statements, hotel confirmations and return tickets are not part of the extension application. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Benin passport.

Getting your extension in four steps

  1. Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
  2. Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
  3. We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Benin passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
  4. Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.

Timing your Visa extension

Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. We ask Benin travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.

What happens if you miss the deadline

Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Benin passports.

Reaching the 120 day limit

The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Benin visitor has to exit. From there you have four routes: an airport to airport visa change at AED 1,550 with a same day return by flydubai, a visa change by bus to Oman from AED 1,000 over about one day, returning home and applying for a fresh visa later, or converting to a residence visa if an employer or family sponsor is available. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.

Common problems for Benin applicants and how we prevent them

  • Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
  • Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
  • Assuming the clock resets with each extension. It does not; 120 days is the total from entry.
  • Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
  • Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.

Benin passport Visa extension FAQ

Can Benin passport holders extend in country?

Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.

How much is a 2 month extension?

AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Benin. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.

How long does a Visa extension take?

Expect two to three working days for a Benin passport, with a buffer for weekends and holidays.

What is the maximum stay?

The limit is 120 days in total: three 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa, or two on a 60 day visa.

Who can process my extension?

The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Benin included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).

Is there a grace period after my visa expires?

No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.

Is there a family extension option?

Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.

Is the fee refundable on rejection?

Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
