If you hold a Bosnia and Herzegovina passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Bosnia and Herzegovina traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for Bosnia and Herzegovina passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
Visa extension explained for Bosnia and Herzegovina travellers
Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Bosnia and Herzegovina passport. There is no travel involved: you stay in the UAE, keep your accommodation and wait for the approval on WhatsApp.
This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. For eligible Bosnia and Herzegovina travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.
Is a Visa extension available for Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens?
Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. We check the position for Bosnia and Herzegovina passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.
- Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
- Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
- Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.
Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

Bosnia and Herzegovina passport Visa extension price
The Visa extension fee is AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, and the price is the same for every nationality, including Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
- Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps
The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Any overstay fine is settled separately with immigration and is not included in the AED 1,200. Compared with the exit routes, the extension is usually the better value for a Bosnia and Herzegovina visitor who needs 30 more days, while a new 60 day visa through airport to airport or bus makes more sense when you need the full two months and have no extensions left.
Pay in monthly instalments
UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Bosnia and Herzegovina can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.
What Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens need to send us
Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:
- Your Bosnia and Herzegovina passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
- A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.
You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Bosnia and Herzegovina passport.
Getting your extension in four steps
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Settle the AED 1,200 by secure link or instalments. The application goes to immigration after payment.
- We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Bosnia and Herzegovina applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
- Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.
Do not wait until the last day
An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. Because approval takes two to three working days and government offices close at weekends and on public holidays, Bosnia and Herzegovina passport holders should message us five to seven days before expiry. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

What to do after the maximum extensions
Once a Bosnia and Herzegovina visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Bosnia and Herzegovina travellers on WhatsApp.
Common problems for Bosnia and Herzegovina applicants and how we prevent them
- Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
- Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
- Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
- A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
- Trying to extend a visa on arrival or a residence visa. This service covers agency issued visit visas only; other permits need a different route.
Questions Bosnia and Herzegovina travellers ask us
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
Yes, without leaving the country. The conditions are an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa, extensions still available, a total stay under 120 days, and processing through the issuing agency.
How much does a Visa extension cost for Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens?
One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Bosnia and Herzegovina passports pay the standard rate.
What is the processing time?
Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.
What is the maximum stay?
Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.
Who can process my extension?
Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.
When do fines start?
No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.
Can spouse and children extend at the same time?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Bosnia and Herzegovina relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
What happens if it is not approved?
Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
