Brazil passport Visa extension: fees, rules and process

For travellers from Brazil, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. Below you will find eligibility, pricing for Brazil citizens, the extension limits, the application deadline and your options after 120 days.

Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Brazil passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.

What is a Visa extension without exit?

Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your Brazil passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.

It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. If a Brazil passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.

Eligibility for Brazil passport holders

Three factors decide whether a Brazil passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Brazil passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.

  • Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
  • Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
  • Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.

If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

Brazil passport Visa extension price

The Visa extension fee is AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, and the price is the same for every nationality, including Brazil.

  • One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
  • Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions

The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Brazil passport.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Brazil can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.

Visa extension requirements for Brazil passport holders

Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:

  1. Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. Your existing visa PDF, which tells us the entry date, expiry and extension count.

No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Brazil applicants know straight away.

How to apply for a Visa extension from Brazil

  1. Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
  2. Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
  3. The extension is filed and monitored by our team. Expect two to three working days for most Brazil applicants, subject to immigration’s discretion.
  4. The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.

When to apply and why the deadline matters

Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Brazil visitors from missing the deadline. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.

Why the expiry date is final

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Brazil passports.

When extension is no longer possible

At 120 days total, Brazil passport holders must leave the UAE. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
  • Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
  • Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
  • Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
  • Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.

Brazil passport Visa extension FAQ

Can I extend my UAE visit visa without exiting on a Brazil passport?

You can. Brazil passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.

How much does a Visa extension cost for Brazil citizens?

AED 1,200 for a 30 day extension and AED 2,400 for 60 days, with no nationality surcharge for Brazil citizens.

How many days until approval?

Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.

Can I extend my 30 day visa more than once?

Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.

Does the same agency rule apply to Brazil passports?

Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.

When do fines start?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

What about family members on Brazil passports?

Yes. We process extensions for spouses, children and other family members together, and UAE residents booking for family can split the combined total across Tabby, Tamara or a UAE credit card plan.

What if my extension is refused?

Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
