Visa extension for Burkina Faso citizens without leaving the UAE

When a Burkina Faso citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Burkina Faso traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.

In short: Burkina Faso passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.

Visa extension explained for Burkina Faso travellers

A Visa extension is an extension of the current permit; the visa number stays the same and the expiry date moves forward by 30 days. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Burkina Faso passport. There is no travel involved: you stay in the UAE, keep your accommodation and wait for the approval on WhatsApp.

Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. For Burkina Faso visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.

Is a Visa extension available for Burkina Faso citizens?

Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for Burkina Faso citizens before you pay anything.

  • Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
  • Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
  • Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.

Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

Burkina Faso passport Visa extension price

Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Burkina Faso passports pay the standard rate.

  • 30 day extension: AED 1,200
  • Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions

This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Burkina Faso travellers.

Payment options

Residents of the UAE booking for Burkina Faso visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.

Paperwork for a Visa extension

The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:

  1. Your Burkina Faso passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
  2. A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
  3. Your existing visa PDF, which tells us the entry date, expiry and extension count.

No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Burkina Faso applicants know straight away.

How Burkina Faso citizens apply

  1. Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
  2. Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
  3. We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Burkina Faso applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
  4. Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.

Do not wait until the last day

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Burkina Faso visitors from missing the deadline. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.

What happens if you miss the deadline

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Burkina Faso passports.

When extension is no longer possible

The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Burkina Faso visitor has to exit. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
  • Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
  • Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
  • Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
  • Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.

Burkina Faso passport Visa extension FAQ

Is extension without exit possible for Burkina Faso citizens?

Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.

How much is a 2 month extension?

AED 1,200 for a 30 day extension and AED 2,400 for 60 days, with no nationality surcharge for Burkina Faso citizens.

When will I receive the extension?

Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.

Can I extend my 30 day visa more than once?

Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.

Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?

Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.

Can I stay a few days after expiry?

There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.

Can I extend visas for my family together?

Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.

What happens if it is not approved?

Refusals are rare when the eligibility rules are met. If immigration declines, the fee is not refundable because the government charge is paid at submission, and you would need to exit before expiry through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. We check eligibility carefully before you pay to keep this risk low.
