If you hold a Cambodia passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. Below you will find eligibility, pricing for Cambodia citizens, the extension limits, the application deadline and your options after 120 days.
Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Cambodia passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
Visa extension explained for Cambodia travellers
Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Cambodia passport. No flight, no bus and no border: you remain where you are and receive the approval on WhatsApp.
It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. For Cambodia visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.
Who qualifies
Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. WhatsApp us your visa copy and we will tell you straight away if an extension is possible for a Cambodia passport or if you need a visa change instead.
- Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
- Anyone whose combined stay stays under 120 days once the extension is counted.
- Those whose visa came from White Sky Travel, since extensions run through the issuing account under immigration rules.
Visas issued elsewhere can be extended by that agency; alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or a bus visa change from AED 1,000, each providing a new 60 day visa. This service does not cover visa on arrival stamps or residence permits.

How much does a Visa extension cost?
Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Cambodia passports pay the standard rate.
- One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
- 2 month extension: AED 2,400, issued as two separate 30 day approvals
The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Cambodia passport.
Instalment plans for UAE residents
For UAE residents applying on behalf of Cambodia family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.
Documents required for a Visa extension on a Cambodia passport
Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:
- Your Cambodia passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.
The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Cambodia applicants know straight away.
The application process step by step
- Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
- Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
- We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Cambodia citizens is two to three working days.
- The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.
Do not wait until the last day
An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. We ask Cambodia travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. Back to back extensions should each be filed a few days before the running expiry, always within the 120 day cap.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Cambodia travellers.

What to do after the maximum extensions
At 120 days total, Cambodia passport holders must leave the UAE. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.
Why extensions get refused or delayed
- Waiting until expiry day, which leaves no room for processing time.
- Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
- Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
- Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
- Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.
Questions Cambodia travellers ask us
Can I extend my UAE visit visa without exiting on a Cambodia passport?
Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.
What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?
AED 1,200 for a 30 day extension and AED 2,400 for 60 days, with no nationality surcharge for Cambodia citizens.
What is the processing time?
Usually two to three working days. Because government offices close at weekends, Cambodia travellers should allow five to seven days before the visa expires.
How many extensions are allowed?
The limit is 120 days in total: three 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa, or two on a 60 day visa.
Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?
Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.
When do fines start?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Is there a family extension option?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Cambodia relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
What happens if it is not approved?
Refusals are rare when the eligibility rules are met. If immigration declines, the fee is not refundable because the government charge is paid at submission, and you would need to exit before expiry through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. We check eligibility carefully before you pay to keep this risk low.
