A Visa extension allows Dominican Republic passport holders to add 30 days to a UAE visit visa without exiting, flying anywhere or crossing a border. At White Sky Travel a 30 day extension is AED 1,200, processed in around two to three working days, with every step on WhatsApp. This page explains who qualifies, what a Dominican Republic passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.
Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for Dominican Republic passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your Dominican Republic passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. If a Dominican Republic passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.
Who from Dominican Republic can apply for a Visa extension?
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. WhatsApp us your visa copy and we will tell you straight away if an extension is possible for a Dominican Republic passport or if you need a visa change instead.
- Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
- Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
- Those whose visa came from White Sky Travel, since extensions run through the issuing account under immigration rules.
If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. This service does not cover visa on arrival stamps or residence permits.

Dominican Republic passport Visa extension price
The Visa extension fee is AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, and the price is the same for every nationality, including Dominican Republic.
- A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Dominican Republic travellers.
Pay in monthly instalments
For UAE residents applying on behalf of Dominican Republic family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. Family extensions are handled together, and the combined total can be split the same way.
Visa extension requirements for Dominican Republic passport holders
Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:
- Your Dominican Republic passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
- Your present visa, needed to confirm eligibility and the dates.
The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Dominican Republic passport.
The application process step by step
- WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 a week before expiry. We verify the dates and confirm whether a Dominican Republic passport can be extended.
- Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
- We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Dominican Republic citizens is two to three working days.
- You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.
Do not wait until the last day
The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. Because approval takes two to three working days and government offices close at weekends and on public holidays, Dominican Republic passport holders should message us five to seven days before expiry. Back to back extensions should each be filed a few days before the running expiry, always within the 120 day cap.
Overstay rules in 2026
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Options for Dominican Republic visitors after 120 days
Once a Dominican Republic visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. The two exit routes each provide a fresh 60 day visa whoever issued the first one, and we organise both.
Why extensions get refused or delayed
- Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
- Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
- Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
- A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
- Trying to extend a visa on arrival or a residence visa. This service covers agency issued visit visas only; other permits need a different route.
Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Dominican Republic passport
Can Dominican Republic passport holders extend in country?
Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.
What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Dominican Republic. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
What is the processing time?
Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.
How many extensions are allowed?
The limit is 120 days in total: three 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa, or two on a 60 day visa.
Does the same agency rule apply to Dominican Republic passports?
Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.
How many days can I stay after the visa ends?
No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.
Can spouse and children extend at the same time?
Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.
What if my extension is refused?
Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
