When a East Timor citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. Below you will find eligibility, pricing for East Timor citizens, the extension limits, the application deadline and your options after 120 days.
In short: East Timor passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.

The meaning of Visa extension for East Timor passport holders
An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your East Timor passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. For East Timor visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.
Is a Visa extension available for East Timor citizens?
Three factors decide whether a East Timor passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. WhatsApp us your visa copy and we will tell you straight away if an extension is possible for a East Timor passport or if you need a visa change instead.
- Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
- Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
- Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.
If we did not issue your visa, the original agency can extend it, or we can reset you on a new 60 day visa through an airport to airport change (AED 1,550) or the bus to Oman (from AED 1,000). Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

UAE visit visa extension charges for East Timor citizens
We charge AED 1,200 for every 30 day extension regardless of nationality, so East Timor citizens pay exactly this figure.
- 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
- 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)
The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a East Timor passport.
Pay in monthly instalments
Residents of the UAE booking for East Timor visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.
Paperwork for a Visa extension
Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:
- A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
- One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
- Your existing visa PDF, which tells us the entry date, expiry and extension count.
The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. Immigration can request further documents at its discretion, and we pass any such request on to East Timor travellers without delay.
The application process step by step
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for East Timor passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.
The five to seven day rule for East Timor visitors
Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. Allow five to seven days: two to three working days for processing, plus a buffer for weekends and holidays. Back to back extensions should each be filed a few days before the running expiry, always within the 120 day cap.
Why the expiry date is final
Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

Options for East Timor visitors after 120 days
The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every East Timor visitor has to exit. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for East Timor travellers on WhatsApp.
How to keep your application on track
- Waiting until expiry day, which leaves no room for processing time.
- Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
- Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
- Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
- Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.
Answers for East Timor citizens
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
You can. East Timor passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.
What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?
One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so East Timor passports pay the standard rate.
How many days until approval?
Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.
How many times can a East Timor citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?
Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.
Who can process my extension?
Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.
Can I stay a few days after expiry?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Can spouse and children extend at the same time?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring East Timor relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
Is the fee refundable on rejection?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible East Timor applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
