If you hold a Germany passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. At White Sky Travel a 30 day extension is AED 1,200, processed in around two to three working days, with every step on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Germany traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for Germany passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
The meaning of Visa extension for Germany passport holders
An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your Germany passport. No flight, no bus and no border: you remain where you are and receive the approval on WhatsApp.
It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. For eligible Germany travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.
Is a Visa extension available for Germany citizens?
Three factors decide whether a Germany passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. We check the position for Germany passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.
- Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
- Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
- Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.
Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

Visa extension fees for Germany passport holders
The Visa extension fee is AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, and the price is the same for every nationality, including Germany.
- 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. If a fine has accrued, it is paid to immigration in addition to the extension fee. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Germany travellers.
Pay in monthly instalments
For UAE residents applying on behalf of Germany family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.
Paperwork for a Visa extension
Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:
- Your Germany passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
- The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.
Bank statements, hotel confirmations and return tickets are not part of the extension application. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Germany passport.
Getting your extension in four steps
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Settle the AED 1,200 by secure link or instalments. The application goes to immigration after payment.
- The extension is filed and monitored by our team. Expect two to three working days for most Germany applicants, subject to immigration’s discretion.
- Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.
When to apply and why the deadline matters
Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. Allow five to seven days: two to three working days for processing, plus a buffer for weekends and holidays. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Germany travellers.

Options for Germany visitors after 120 days
Once a Germany visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. From there you have four routes: an airport to airport visa change at AED 1,550 with a same day return by flydubai, a visa change by bus to Oman from AED 1,000 over about one day, returning home and applying for a fresh visa later, or converting to a residence visa if an employer or family sponsor is available. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Germany travellers on WhatsApp.
Mistakes to avoid
- Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
- Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
- Assuming the clock resets with each extension. It does not; 120 days is the total from entry.
- Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
- Confusing residency or arrival stamps with agency visit visas, which are the only ones we can extend.
Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Germany passport
Can Germany passport holders extend in country?
Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.
What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?
The extension fee is AED 1,200 for 30 days and AED 2,400 for 60 days (two back to back extensions), identical for all passports including Germany.
How long does a Visa extension take?
Usually two to three working days. Because government offices close at weekends, Germany travellers should allow five to seven days before the visa expires.
What is the maximum stay?
Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.
Who can process my extension?
No. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the original visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account. If another agency issued your visa, contact them, or use an exit route with us: an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or the bus to Oman from AED 1,000, both giving a new 60 day visa.
When do fines start?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Is there a family extension option?
Yes. We process extensions for spouses, children and other family members together, and UAE residents booking for family can split the combined total across Tabby, Tamara or a UAE credit card plan.
Can immigration decline an extension?
Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
