If you hold a India passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Here is everything a India traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for India passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
How an in country UAE visa extension works
An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. We file the extension through the issuing account, and immigration updates the expiry date on your India passport record. No flight, no bus and no border: you remain where you are and receive the approval on WhatsApp.
The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. For India visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.
Who from India can apply for a Visa extension?
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for India citizens before you pay anything.
- Visit and tourist visa holders on a 30 day or 60 day visa issued through a travel agency. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days.
- Anyone whose combined stay stays under 120 days once the extension is counted.
- Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.
If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

UAE visit visa extension charges for India citizens
Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so India passports pay the standard rate.
- A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
- Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps
The charge covers immigration and processing costs and is not refundable if the extension is refused. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a India passport.
Instalment plans for UAE residents
For UAE residents applying on behalf of India family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.
What India citizens need to send us
Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:
- Your India passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
- The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.
The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a India passport.
How India citizens apply
- Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 with at least five to seven days remaining, and we confirm the same day.
- Settle the AED 1,200 by secure link or instalments. The application goes to immigration after payment.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for India passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.
Timing your Visa extension
Applications are only accepted while the visa is still valid. Once it expires, extension is no longer possible. We ask India travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for India passports.

What to do after the maximum extensions
When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for India travellers on WhatsApp.
Common problems for India applicants and how we prevent them
- Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
- Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
- Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
- Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
- Trying to extend a visa on arrival or a residence visa. This service covers agency issued visit visas only; other permits need a different route.
Questions India travellers ask us
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.
How much does a Visa extension cost for India citizens?
One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so India passports pay the standard rate.
What is the processing time?
Expect two to three working days for a India passport, with a buffer for weekends and holidays.
How many times can a India citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?
Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.
Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?
The same agency rule applies to every nationality, India included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).
How many days can I stay after the visa ends?
There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.
Can I extend visas for my family together?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring India relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
Is the fee refundable on rejection?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible India applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
