When a Iraq citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Here is everything a Iraq traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
In short: Iraq passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Iraq passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. Wherever a Iraq citizen is still within the extension limits, this is the option we recommend before anything else.
Eligibility for Iraq passport holders
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. We check the position for Iraq passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.
- Visit and tourist visa holders on a 30 day or 60 day visa issued through a travel agency. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days.
- Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
- Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.
Visas issued elsewhere can be extended by that agency; alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or a bus visa change from AED 1,000, each providing a new 60 day visa. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

Iraq passport Visa extension price
Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Iraq passports pay the standard rate.
- 30 day extension: AED 1,200
- 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)
The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Iraq passport.
Pay in monthly instalments
Residents of the UAE booking for Iraq visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.
Visa extension requirements for Iraq passport holders
Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:
- Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
- The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.
No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Iraq passport.
Getting your extension in four steps
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We file the extension once payment clears.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Iraq passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.
Do not wait until the last day
An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. We ask Iraq travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.
What happens if you miss the deadline
UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Iraq passports.

What to do after the maximum extensions
Once a Iraq visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. From there you have four routes: an airport to airport visa change at AED 1,550 with a same day return by flydubai, a visa change by bus to Oman from AED 1,000 over about one day, returning home and applying for a fresh visa later, or converting to a residence visa if an employer or family sponsor is available. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.
Why extensions get refused or delayed
- Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
- Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
- Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
- A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
- Trying to extend a visa on arrival or a residence visa. This service covers agency issued visit visas only; other permits need a different route.
Iraq passport Visa extension FAQ
Can Iraq passport holders extend in country?
Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.
How much does a Visa extension cost for Iraq citizens?
One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Iraq passports pay the standard rate.
When will I receive the extension?
Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.
How many extensions are allowed?
A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.
Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?
No. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the original visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account. If another agency issued your visa, contact them, or use an exit route with us: an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or the bus to Oman from AED 1,000, both giving a new 60 day visa.
When do fines start?
No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.
Can spouse and children extend at the same time?
Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.
What happens if it is not approved?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Iraq applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
