Visa extension for Liechtenstein citizens without leaving the UAE

When a Liechtenstein citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Liechtenstein traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.

The essentials for Liechtenstein citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.

What is a Visa extension without exit?

An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Liechtenstein passport. No flight, no bus and no border: you remain where you are and receive the approval on WhatsApp.

Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. Wherever a Liechtenstein citizen is still within the extension limits, this is the option we recommend before anything else.

Is a Visa extension available for Liechtenstein citizens?

Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. We check the position for Liechtenstein passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
  • Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.

Visas issued elsewhere can be extended by that agency; alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or a bus visa change from AED 1,000, each providing a new 60 day visa. On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

UAE visit visa extension charges for Liechtenstein citizens

Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Liechtenstein passports pay the standard rate.

  • A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
  • Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps

The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Liechtenstein travellers.

Pay in monthly instalments

For UAE residents applying on behalf of Liechtenstein family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. Family extensions are handled together, and the combined total can be split the same way.

What Liechtenstein citizens need to send us

Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:

  1. A clear copy of your Liechtenstein passport, valid for at least six months.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. Your present visa, needed to confirm eligibility and the dates.

No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. Immigration can request further documents at its discretion, and we pass any such request on to Liechtenstein travellers without delay.

How Liechtenstein citizens apply

  1. Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 with at least five to seven days remaining, and we confirm the same day.
  2. Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We file the extension once payment clears.
  3. We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Liechtenstein citizens is two to three working days.
  4. We forward the extension PDF on WhatsApp; the new expiry date is on it, so keep it handy.

Timing your Visa extension

Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Liechtenstein visitors from missing the deadline. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.

No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Options for Liechtenstein visitors after 120 days

When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. The two exit routes each provide a fresh 60 day visa whoever issued the first one, and we organise both.

How to keep your application on track

  • Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
  • Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
  • Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
  • A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
  • Trying to extend a visa on arrival or a residence visa. This service covers agency issued visit visas only; other permits need a different route.

Liechtenstein passport Visa extension FAQ

Can I extend my UAE visit visa without exiting on a Liechtenstein passport?

Yes, without leaving the country. The conditions are an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa, extensions still available, a total stay under 120 days, and processing through the issuing agency.

What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?

AED 1,200 for a 30 day extension and AED 2,400 for 60 days, with no nationality surcharge for Liechtenstein citizens.

How many days until approval?

Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.

How many times can a Liechtenstein citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?

Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.

What if my visa came from a different agency?

The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Liechtenstein included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).

How many days can I stay after the visa ends?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Is there a family extension option?

Yes. We process extensions for spouses, children and other family members together, and UAE residents booking for family can split the combined total across Tabby, Tamara or a UAE credit card plan.

What if my extension is refused?

Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
