If you hold a Madagascar passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. This page explains who qualifies, what a Madagascar passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.
Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Madagascar passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.

How an in country UAE visa extension works
An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Madagascar passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. If a Madagascar passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.
Eligibility for Madagascar passport holders
A Visa extension is available when the visa type allows it, the extension count has not been exhausted, and the application goes through the original issuer. We check the position for Madagascar passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.
- Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
- Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
- Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.
If we did not issue your visa, the original agency can extend it, or we can reset you on a new 60 day visa through an airport to airport change (AED 1,550) or the bus to Oman (from AED 1,000). On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

UAE visit visa extension charges for Madagascar citizens
The Visa extension fee is AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, and the price is the same for every nationality, including Madagascar.
- A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Madagascar passport.
Payment options
Residents of the UAE booking for Madagascar visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. Family extensions are handled together, and the combined total can be split the same way.
Documents required for a Visa extension on a Madagascar passport
Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:
- Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.
Bank statements, hotel confirmations and return tickets are not part of the extension application. Should immigration want anything more for a Madagascar passport, we will contact you on WhatsApp at once.
How Madagascar citizens apply
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
- The extension is filed and monitored by our team. Expect two to three working days for most Madagascar applicants, subject to immigration’s discretion.
- You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.
Timing your Visa extension
The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. Allow five to seven days: two to three working days for processing, plus a buffer for weekends and holidays. Back to back extensions should each be filed a few days before the running expiry, always within the 120 day cap.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Madagascar travellers.

What to do after the maximum extensions
Once a Madagascar visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Madagascar and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Madagascar travellers on WhatsApp.
Mistakes to avoid
- Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
- Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
- Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
- Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
- Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.
Questions Madagascar travellers ask us
Can I extend my UAE visit visa without exiting on a Madagascar passport?
Yes, without leaving the country. The conditions are an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa, extensions still available, a total stay under 120 days, and processing through the issuing agency.
How much does a Visa extension cost for Madagascar citizens?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Madagascar. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
What is the processing time?
Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.
How many times can a Madagascar citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?
Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.
Who can process my extension?
Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.
Is there a grace period after my visa expires?
No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.
What about family members on Madagascar passports?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Madagascar relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
Is the fee refundable on rejection?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Madagascar applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
