If you hold a Mauritania passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. This page explains who qualifies, what a Mauritania passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.
Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for Mauritania passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Mauritania passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. If a Mauritania passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.
Eligibility for Mauritania passport holders
Three factors decide whether a Mauritania passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. We check the position for Mauritania passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.
- Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
- Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
- Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.
Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

How much does a Visa extension cost?
The Visa extension fee is AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, and the price is the same for every nationality, including Mauritania.
- A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
- 2 month extension: AED 2,400, issued as two separate 30 day approvals
This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. Any overstay fine is settled separately with immigration and is not included in the AED 1,200. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Mauritania passport.
Instalment plans for UAE residents
If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Mauritania passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.
Paperwork for a Visa extension
Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:
- A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
- A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.
You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Mauritania passport.
Getting your extension in four steps
- Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
- Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
- We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Mauritania citizens is two to three working days.
- You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.
The five to seven day rule for Mauritania visitors
Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Mauritania visitors from missing the deadline. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.
Overstay rules in 2026
UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Reaching the 120 day limit
Once a Mauritania visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Mauritania and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.
How to keep your application on track
- Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
- Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
- Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
- A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
Mauritania passport Visa extension FAQ
Can Mauritania passport holders extend in country?
You can. Mauritania passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.
What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Mauritania. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
How long does a Visa extension take?
Expect two to three working days for a Mauritania passport, with a buffer for weekends and holidays.
Can I extend my 30 day visa more than once?
The limit is 120 days in total: three 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa, or two on a 60 day visa.
What if my visa came from a different agency?
The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Mauritania included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).
Can I stay a few days after expiry?
There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.
Can I extend visas for my family together?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Mauritania relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
What if my extension is refused?
Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
