A Visa extension allows San Marino passport holders to add 30 days to a UAE visit visa without exiting, flying anywhere or crossing a border. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. Below you will find eligibility, pricing for San Marino citizens, the extension limits, the application deadline and your options after 120 days.
In short: San Marino passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.

The meaning of Visa extension for San Marino passport holders
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your San Marino passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.
The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. For San Marino visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.
Is a Visa extension available for San Marino citizens?
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. We check the position for San Marino passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.
- Visit and tourist visa holders on a 30 day or 60 day visa issued through a travel agency. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days.
- Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
- Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.
Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

San Marino passport Visa extension price
A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, San Marino included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.
- One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
- 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)
The charge covers immigration and processing costs and is not refundable if the extension is refused. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a San Marino passport.
Payment options
For UAE residents applying on behalf of San Marino family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.
What San Marino citizens need to send us
Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:
- A clear copy of your San Marino passport, valid for at least six months.
- One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
- Your existing visa PDF, which tells us the entry date, expiry and extension count.
The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let San Marino applicants know straight away.
The application process step by step
- WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 a week before expiry. We verify the dates and confirm whether a San Marino passport can be extended.
- Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We file the extension once payment clears.
- We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for San Marino citizens is two to three working days.
- You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.
Timing your Visa extension
Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects San Marino visitors from missing the deadline. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.
Why the expiry date is final
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Reaching the 120 day limit
The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every San Marino visitor has to exit. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to San Marino and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for San Marino travellers on WhatsApp.
Common problems for San Marino applicants and how we prevent them
- Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
- Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
- Assuming the clock resets with each extension. It does not; 120 days is the total from entry.
- Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
San Marino passport Visa extension FAQ
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.
How much does a Visa extension cost for San Marino citizens?
AED 1,200 for a 30 day extension and AED 2,400 for 60 days, with no nationality surcharge for San Marino citizens.
How many days until approval?
Usually two to three working days. Because government offices close at weekends, San Marino travellers should allow five to seven days before the visa expires.
What is the maximum stay?
Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.
Does the same agency rule apply to San Marino passports?
The same agency rule applies to every nationality, San Marino included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).
Is there a grace period after my visa expires?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Can I extend visas for my family together?
Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.
What if my extension is refused?
Refusals are rare when the eligibility rules are met. If immigration declines, the fee is not refundable because the government charge is paid at submission, and you would need to exit before expiry through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. We check eligibility carefully before you pay to keep this risk low.
