Visa extension for Sao Tome and Principe citizens without leaving the UAE

When a Sao Tome and Principe citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Sao Tome and Principe traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.

The essentials for Sao Tome and Principe citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.

What is a Visa extension without exit?

Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. We file the extension through the issuing account, and immigration updates the expiry date on your Sao Tome and Principe passport record. No flight, no bus and no border: you remain where you are and receive the approval on WhatsApp.

The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. For eligible Sao Tome and Principe travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.

Is a Visa extension available for Sao Tome and Principe citizens?

Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. We check the position for Sao Tome and Principe passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.

  • Visit and tourist visa holders on a 30 day or 60 day visa issued through a travel agency. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days.
  • Anyone whose combined stay stays under 120 days once the extension is counted.
  • Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.

If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. This service does not cover visa on arrival stamps or residence permits.

UAE visit visa extension charges for Sao Tome and Principe citizens

We charge AED 1,200 for every 30 day extension regardless of nationality, so Sao Tome and Principe citizens pay exactly this figure.

  • A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
  • Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions

This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. If a fine has accrued, it is paid to immigration in addition to the extension fee. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Sao Tome and Principe travellers.

Payment options

Residents of the UAE booking for Sao Tome and Principe visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.

Visa extension requirements for Sao Tome and Principe passport holders

Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:

  1. A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
  2. A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
  3. Your existing visa PDF, which tells us the entry date, expiry and extension count.

No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Sao Tome and Principe applicants know straight away.

How Sao Tome and Principe citizens apply

  1. Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
  2. Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We file the extension once payment clears.
  3. We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Sao Tome and Principe applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
  4. You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.

Timing your Visa extension

Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. Allow five to seven days: two to three working days for processing, plus a buffer for weekends and holidays. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.

No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Options for Sao Tome and Principe visitors after 120 days

When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Sao Tome and Principe and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Sao Tome and Principe travellers on WhatsApp.

How to keep your application on track

  • Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
  • Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
  • Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
  • A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
  • Confusing residency or arrival stamps with agency visit visas, which are the only ones we can extend.

Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Sao Tome and Principe passport

Can I extend my UAE visit visa without exiting on a Sao Tome and Principe passport?

Yes, without leaving the country. The conditions are an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa, extensions still available, a total stay under 120 days, and processing through the issuing agency.

How much is a 2 month extension?

AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Sao Tome and Principe. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.

When will I receive the extension?

Usually two to three working days. Because government offices close at weekends, Sao Tome and Principe travellers should allow five to seven days before the visa expires.

How many extensions are allowed?

Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.

Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?

The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Sao Tome and Principe included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).

Is there a grace period after my visa expires?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Can I extend visas for my family together?

Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Sao Tome and Principe relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.

Is the fee refundable on rejection?

Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
