For travellers from Serbia, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. Read on for the rules that apply to Serbia passports: cost, number of extensions, timing, documents and the exit routes once the maximum is reached.
Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for Serbia passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.

The meaning of Visa extension for Serbia passport holders
An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. We file the extension through the issuing account, and immigration updates the expiry date on your Serbia passport record. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.
It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. For Serbia visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.
Eligibility for Serbia passport holders
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for Serbia citizens before you pay anything.
- Visit and tourist visa holders on a 30 day or 60 day visa issued through a travel agency. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days.
- Anyone whose combined stay stays under 120 days once the extension is counted.
- Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.
Visas issued elsewhere can be extended by that agency; alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or a bus visa change from AED 1,000, each providing a new 60 day visa. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

How much does a Visa extension cost?
A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Serbia included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.
- 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
The charge covers immigration and processing costs and is not refundable if the extension is refused. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. A Serbia visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.
Pay in monthly instalments
UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Serbia can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.
Visa extension requirements for Serbia passport holders
Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:
- Your Serbia passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
- The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.
You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Serbia passport.
The application process step by step
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Serbia passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- We forward the extension PDF on WhatsApp; the new expiry date is on it, so keep it handy.
When to apply and why the deadline matters
An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. Allow five to seven days: two to three working days for processing, plus a buffer for weekends and holidays. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Serbia travellers.

When extension is no longer possible
Once a Serbia visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Serbia and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.
How to keep your application on track
- Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
- Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
- Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
- Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
- Confusing residency or arrival stamps with agency visit visas, which are the only ones we can extend.
Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Serbia passport
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.
How much does a Visa extension cost for Serbia citizens?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Serbia. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
How long does a Visa extension take?
Expect two to three working days for a Serbia passport, with a buffer for weekends and holidays.
How many extensions are allowed?
Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.
What if my visa came from a different agency?
Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.
How many days can I stay after the visa ends?
There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.
Is there a family extension option?
Yes. Each family member pays AED 1,200 per extension, we file them together, and the total can be spread over instalments for UAE resident sponsors.
What if my extension is refused?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Serbia applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
