A Visa extension allows Spain passport holders to add 30 days to a UAE visit visa without exiting, flying anywhere or crossing a border. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Here is everything a Spain traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Spain passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.

Visa extension explained for Spain travellers
An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your Spain passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. For eligible Spain travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.
Eligibility for Spain passport holders
Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Spain passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.
- Visit and tourist visa holders on a 30 day or 60 day visa issued through a travel agency. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days.
- Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
- Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.
Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

Spain passport Visa extension price
Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Spain passports pay the standard rate.
- A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. A Spain visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.
Payment options
UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Spain can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.
What Spain citizens need to send us
The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:
- Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.
The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. Immigration can request further documents at its discretion, and we pass any such request on to Spain travellers without delay.
The application process step by step
- WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 a week before expiry. We verify the dates and confirm whether a Spain passport can be extended.
- Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
- We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Spain applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
- Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.
Do not wait until the last day
An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Spain visitors from missing the deadline. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.
Overstay rules in 2026
Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Spain travellers.

Options for Spain visitors after 120 days
The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Spain visitor has to exit. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.
Mistakes to avoid
- Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
- Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
- Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
- Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
Spain passport Visa extension FAQ
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.
What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Spain. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
How many days until approval?
Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.
How many times can a Spain citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?
The limit is 120 days in total: three 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa, or two on a 60 day visa.
Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?
No. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the original visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account. If another agency issued your visa, contact them, or use an exit route with us: an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or the bus to Oman from AED 1,000, both giving a new 60 day visa.
Is there a grace period after my visa expires?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Can I extend visas for my family together?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Spain relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
What happens if it is not approved?
Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
