A Visa extension allows Suriname passport holders to add 30 days to a UAE visit visa without exiting, flying anywhere or crossing a border. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. This page explains who qualifies, what a Suriname passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.
Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Suriname passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.

We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
How an in country UAE visa extension works
An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Suriname passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. Wherever a Suriname citizen is still within the extension limits, this is the option we recommend before anything else.
Is a Visa extension available for Suriname citizens?
Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for Suriname citizens before you pay anything.
- Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
- Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
- Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.
If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

UAE visit visa extension charges for Suriname citizens
A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Suriname included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.
- One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. If a fine has accrued, it is paid to immigration in addition to the extension fee. A Suriname visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.
Pay in monthly instalments
Residents of the UAE booking for Suriname visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.
What Suriname citizens need to send us
Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:
- Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
- A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.
No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Suriname passport.
Getting your extension in four steps
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We file the extension once payment clears.
- We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Suriname applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
- We forward the extension PDF on WhatsApp; the new expiry date is on it, so keep it handy.
Timing your Visa extension
An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. Because approval takes two to three working days and government offices close at weekends and on public holidays, Suriname passport holders should message us five to seven days before expiry. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.
Overstay rules in 2026
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Suriname travellers.

When extension is no longer possible
When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Suriname and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Suriname travellers on WhatsApp.
How to keep your application on track
- Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
- Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
- Assuming the clock resets with each extension. It does not; 120 days is the total from entry.
- Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Suriname passport
Is extension without exit possible for Suriname citizens?
Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.
How much does a Visa extension cost for Suriname citizens?
The extension fee is AED 1,200 for 30 days and AED 2,400 for 60 days (two back to back extensions), identical for all passports including Suriname.
How many days until approval?
Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.
How many extensions are allowed?
Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.
What if my visa came from a different agency?
The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Suriname included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).
How many days can I stay after the visa ends?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
What about family members on Suriname passports?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Suriname relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
What if my extension is refused?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Suriname applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
