Visa extension without exit for Tanzania passport holders

If you hold a Tanzania passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. Below you will find eligibility, pricing for Tanzania citizens, the extension limits, the application deadline and your options after 120 days.

The essentials for Tanzania citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.

The meaning of Visa extension for Tanzania passport holders

A Visa extension is an extension of the current permit; the visa number stays the same and the expiry date moves forward by 30 days. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Tanzania passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.

It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. Wherever a Tanzania citizen is still within the extension limits, this is the option we recommend before anything else.

Is a Visa extension available for Tanzania citizens?

Three factors decide whether a Tanzania passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for Tanzania citizens before you pay anything.

  • Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
  • Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
  • Those whose visa came from White Sky Travel, since extensions run through the issuing account under immigration rules.

If we did not issue your visa, the original agency can extend it, or we can reset you on a new 60 day visa through an airport to airport change (AED 1,550) or the bus to Oman (from AED 1,000). On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

How much does a Visa extension cost?

The Visa extension fee is AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, and the price is the same for every nationality, including Tanzania.

  • 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
  • 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)

This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. Compared with the exit routes, the extension is usually the better value for a Tanzania visitor who needs 30 more days, while a new 60 day visa through airport to airport or bus makes more sense when you need the full two months and have no extensions left.

Pay in monthly instalments

For UAE residents applying on behalf of Tanzania family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. Family extensions are handled together, and the combined total can be split the same way.

What Tanzania citizens need to send us

The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:

  1. Your Tanzania passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
  2. A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
  3. Your existing visa PDF, which tells us the entry date, expiry and extension count.

No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Tanzania passport.

How to apply for a Visa extension from Tanzania

  1. WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 a week before expiry. We verify the dates and confirm whether a Tanzania passport can be extended.
  2. Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We file the extension once payment clears.
  3. We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Tanzania citizens is two to three working days.
  4. The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.

Do not wait until the last day

The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Tanzania visitors from missing the deadline. Back to back extensions should each be filed a few days before the running expiry, always within the 120 day cap.

Overstay rules in 2026

There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Tanzania travellers.

Options for Tanzania visitors after 120 days

Once a Tanzania visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. From there you have four routes: an airport to airport visa change at AED 1,550 with a same day return by flydubai, a visa change by bus to Oman from AED 1,000 over about one day, returning home and applying for a fresh visa later, or converting to a residence visa if an employer or family sponsor is available. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.

How to keep your application on track

  • Waiting until expiry day, which leaves no room for processing time.
  • Not knowing who issued the visa. Ask the person who arranged it, since the extension has to go through that agency.
  • Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
  • Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
  • Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.

Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Tanzania passport

Can Tanzania passport holders extend in country?

Yes, without leaving the country. The conditions are an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa, extensions still available, a total stay under 120 days, and processing through the issuing agency.

How much does a Visa extension cost for Tanzania citizens?

AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Tanzania. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.

What is the processing time?

Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.

How many extensions are allowed?

Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.

Does the same agency rule apply to Tanzania passports?

Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.

Can I stay a few days after expiry?

There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.

What about family members on Tanzania passports?

Yes. Each family member pays AED 1,200 per extension, we file them together, and the total can be spread over instalments for UAE resident sponsors.

Can immigration decline an extension?

Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
