A Visa extension allows Tuvalu passport holders to add 30 days to a UAE visit visa without exiting, flying anywhere or crossing a border. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Here is everything a Tuvalu traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Tuvalu passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.

We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Tuvalu passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. Wherever a Tuvalu citizen is still within the extension limits, this is the option we recommend before anything else.
Who from Tuvalu can apply for a Visa extension?
Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for Tuvalu citizens before you pay anything.
- Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
- Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
- Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.
Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

How much does a Visa extension cost?
Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Tuvalu passports pay the standard rate.
- 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Tuvalu travellers.
Spreading the cost
Residents of the UAE booking for Tuvalu visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.
Documents required for a Visa extension on a Tuvalu passport
Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:
- Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.
No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Tuvalu applicants know straight away.
How to apply for a Visa extension from Tuvalu
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
- The extension is filed and monitored by our team. Expect two to three working days for most Tuvalu applicants, subject to immigration’s discretion.
- We forward the extension PDF on WhatsApp; the new expiry date is on it, so keep it handy.
When to apply and why the deadline matters
The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Tuvalu visitors from missing the deadline. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.
Why the expiry date is final
Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

What to do after the maximum extensions
The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Tuvalu visitor has to exit. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Tuvalu and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.
Why extensions get refused or delayed
- Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
- Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
- Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
- Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Tuvalu passport
Is extension without exit possible for Tuvalu citizens?
Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.
How much is a 2 month extension?
One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Tuvalu passports pay the standard rate.
When will I receive the extension?
Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.
How many extensions are allowed?
Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.
Does the same agency rule apply to Tuvalu passports?
The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Tuvalu included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).
Is there a grace period after my visa expires?
There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.
Can spouse and children extend at the same time?
Yes. We process extensions for spouses, children and other family members together, and UAE residents booking for family can split the combined total across Tabby, Tamara or a UAE credit card plan.
Is the fee refundable on rejection?
Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
