If you hold a Djibouti passport and need a Dubai visa, we can issue a 30 day or 60 day UAE tourist visa in single or multiple entry, usually within 24 to 72 hours. Fees begin at AED 450, the document list is short, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp with our team in Dubai. This page explains what a Djibouti passport holder pays, what to send, how long it takes, and how the visa can be extended once you are in the UAE.
In short: Djibouti passport holders pay AED 450 for a 30 day single entry Dubai visa, AED 650 for 60 days single entry, AED 800 for 30 days multiple entry and AED 1,000 for 60 days multiple entry. Approval takes 24 to 72 hours and entry must happen within 60 days of issue.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
Do Djibouti passport holders need a Dubai visa?
A prearranged visa is the standard route for most travellers, and it is the product we issue for Djibouti passports. A limited number of passports receive a visa on arrival at UAE airports, and the list changes from time to time. We confirm the current position for Djibouti passports on WhatsApp so that nobody pays for a visa they do not need.
Djibouti passport Dubai visa fees
Here is the September 2026 price list for Djibouti passport holders:
- 30 day tourist visa, single entry: AED 450
- 60 day single entry: AED 650
- 30 days, multiple entry: AED 800
- 60 days, multiple entry: AED 1,000
The 30 day visa is the shortest tourist option the UAE offers. Fees are not refundable on rejection, since the government charge is paid the moment the application is lodged.
Refundable security deposit for some nationalities
Some passports are asked for a refundable security deposit. The deposit sits apart from the visa fee, is returned after you leave the UAE, and we confirm the amount for Djibouti citizens on WhatsApp before booking.
Instalment plans for UAE residents
For UAE residents applying on behalf of Djibouti family or friends, payment can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link.

Dubai visa requirements for Djibouti passport holders
Share these items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:
- Front page and back cover of the passport, six months validity minimum. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- A round trip ticket, which we can also book for you if it is not yet arranged.
- If the applicant is a minor, a birth certificate. Certain passports additionally need a national ID card copy.
Some nationalities may be asked for a six month bank statement, and where that applies to a Djibouti passport a UAE based family member’s statement can be submitted on your behalf. UAE immigration may also ask arriving travellers to show proof of funds on entry, so carry a card or cash that demonstrates you can support your stay.
Guarantor documents
If a relative or friend living in the UAE is sponsoring a Djibouti traveller, they provide their passport copy and residence visa page, each with six months validity, Emirates ID front and back, and fill in the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. If a statement is requested, a UAE family member may supply it on the applicant’s behalf, but a friend’s statement is not accepted.
How to apply for a Dubai visa from Djibouti
- Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133. We check them the same day and tell you which visa suits your travel dates.
- Settle the fee by secure link or instalments. Submission to immigration follows verification and payment.
- We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Djibouti citizens is 24 to 72 hours, subject to immigration’s discretion.
- The approved visa arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp. Carry a printed or digital copy for the airline and for immigration on arrival.
How long the Dubai visa is valid
The visa must be used to enter the UAE within 60 days of the date of issue. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. With single entry you may arrive once; multiple entry permits several arrivals within the validity, ideal for regional itineraries that pass through Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Working on a tourist visa is not allowed.
Why the expiry date matters
Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. We remind Djibouti travellers on WhatsApp before the expiry date, giving you time to act.

Visa extension without leaving the UAE
Thirty day visas may be extended three times by 30 days, and 60 day visas twice by 30 days, all from inside the UAE. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. At the 120 day point, a new visa requires an exit, which can be done by an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. Extensions are only accepted before expiry, so message us while you still have a week or more left.
Sharjah 60 day visa
An alternative is the 60 day single entry visa issued through Sharjah, priced at AED 1,200 without any deposit. It is valid for the whole UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Message us and we will compare both routes for your Djibouti passport.
Common reasons a Dubai visa is delayed or refused
- No back cover scan. Send it together with the front page.
- Less than six months on the passport. Immigration will not approve the visa in that case.
- Unclear document images. A clean, well lit scan avoids delays.
- Undisclosed immigration history. Old fines or bans affect approval, so share them with us upfront.
- A passport with a single name and no document showing a full name, which immigration cannot process.
- Last minute applications. Give us a minimum of three working days, longer around Eid and the winter peak.
Answers for Djibouti citizens
When will I receive my visa?
Typically 24 to 72 hours. Immigration sets the timeline and may ask for more documents, so allow three working days or more before your flight.
Price of a 30 day single entry visa?
The 30 day visa is AED 450 single entry or AED 800 multiple entry, with Indian and Filipino passports at AED 400 and AED 750. Some nationalities may also need a refundable deposit.
60 day visa fee for Djibouti citizens?
The 60 day visa costs AED 650 single entry or AED 1,000 multiple entry, and AED 600 or AED 950 for Indian and Filipino passports.
Will immigration ask for proof of funds?
It depends on nationality. Some passports are asked for a six month statement, and a UAE based family member can submit theirs instead. Immigration may also ask arriving travellers for proof of funds, so carry a card or cash. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the rule for Djibouti passports.
Can the visa be extended?
Yes. Extensions of 30 days are available three times on a 30 day visa and twice on a 60 day visa, all from inside the UAE, up to 120 days. Once exhausted, a visa change by air or bus is needed.
What happens if I overstay by a day?
No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.
Can I get my money back on refusal?
The fee is not returned if the visa is refused; it covers government processing. Reapplying is possible after the cause of rejection is fixed.
What about children on Djibouti passports?
Certainly. Every child is issued a separate visa at the same rate, and a birth certificate is required in addition to the passport and photo.
Is working permitted?
No. A tourist visa does not permit employment. You may attend interviews and visit, but working requires a residence visa sponsored by an employer.
