A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Greece citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand.

Key dates to remember

The permit is valid for entry for 60 days from issue. Your 30 or 60 days of stay begin on the day you enter, not on the day the visa is issued. Single entry means one arrival only, while multiple entry allows repeated exits and returns during the validity period, useful for side trips to Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. The visa is for visiting only and does not allow you to take up work.

Overstay rules in 2026

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Staying longer than 30 or 60 days

Thirty day visas may be extended three times by 30 days, and 60 day visas twice by 30 days, all from inside the UAE. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. When the extensions are used up, Greece visitors must exit and return on a fresh visa, either by a same day flight or by the Oman bus route. Extensions are only accepted before expiry, so message us while you still have a week or more left.

Sharjah visa option

Common reasons a Dubai visa is delayed or refused

• Missing passport back cover. Include it with your first message to avoid resubmission.
• Less than six months on the passport. Immigration will not approve the visa in that case.
• Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
• Past visa problems in the UAE. We assess these before submission so that you are not surprised by a refusal.
• Single name passports. If your Greece passport shows only one name and no supporting document shows a full name, the visa cannot be processed, so contact us before paying.
