Hungary passport and UAE entry rules
The majority of passports require a visa arranged in advance, which is the service described on this page. A shorter list of nationalities can enter with a stamp on arrival, and that list moves occasionally. To be certain about the current rule for Hungary citizens, WhatsApp us your passport page and we will check it at no cost.
What a Dubai visa costs from Dubai
Here is the September 2026 price list for Hungary passport holders:
- 30 day single entry: AED 450
- 60 day single entry: AED 650
- 30 day tourist visa, multiple entry: AED 800
- 60 day tourist visa, multiple entry: AED 1,000
The 30 day visa is the shortest tourist option the UAE offers. Should immigration refuse the application, the fee is not returned, as it covers government processing.
Security deposits explained
Certain nationalities may need to place a refundable security deposit. It is separate from the visa price above, it is refunded after the visitor exits the UAE, and we will confirm on WhatsApp whether it applies to Hungary passports and how much it is.
Pay in monthly instalments
If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Hungary passport, the fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp.

Documents required for a Dubai visa on a Hungary passport
Share these items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:
- Your passport data page plus a photo of the back cover, with six months or more validity. We ask for both because the back cover is the item most often forgotten.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
- Confirmed two way flight booking. We can book the flights on your behalf if needed.
- If the applicant is a minor, a birth certificate. Certain passports additionally need a national ID card copy.
Some nationalities may be asked for a six month bank statement, and where that applies to a Hungary passport a UAE based family member’s statement can be submitted on your behalf. Bear in mind that immigration officers sometimes ask arriving passengers to show they can fund their stay, so keep a card or cash accessible.
Guarantor documents
If a relative or friend living in the UAE is sponsoring a Hungary traveller, they provide their passport copy and residence visa page, each with six months validity, Emirates ID front and back, and fill in the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. If a statement is requested, a UAE family member may supply it on the applicant’s behalf, but a friend’s statement is not accepted.
How Hungary citizens apply
- WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133. We review them within hours and recommend the right visa for your trip.
- Settle the fee by secure link or instalments. Submission to immigration follows verification and payment.
- We submit the application to immigration and keep you updated. Most Hungary applications are approved in 24 to 72 hours, though immigration may occasionally take longer or request additional documents.
- Once approved, we send the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Show it at check in and at UAE immigration together with your passport.
Validity and duration of stay
The visa must be used to enter the UAE within 60 days of the date of issue. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. The visa is for visiting only and does not allow you to take up work.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. We remind Hungary travellers on WhatsApp before the expiry date, giving you time to act.

Visa extension without leaving the UAE
Extensions of 30 days are available three times on a 30 day visa and twice on a 60 day visa, with no exit needed. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. When the extensions are used up, Hungary visitors must exit and return on a fresh visa, either by a same day flight or by the Oman bus route. You must apply before the visa runs out; we recommend contacting us with at least seven days to spare.
Sharjah visa option
An alternative is the 60 day single entry visa issued through Sharjah, priced at AED 1,200 without any deposit. The visa allows travel throughout the UAE, not only Sharjah. Ask us on WhatsApp which option is better for a Hungary passport.
Mistakes Hungary applicants should avoid
- Leaving out the back cover, which immigration requires alongside the data page.
- Passport validity under six months. Renew before applying.
- Blurred or cropped photos. Use a clear, full colour scan with all four corners visible.
- Earlier violations or uncancelled visas. Be open with us so we can check the record first.
- A passport with a single name and no document showing a full name, which immigration cannot process.
- Booking flights before the visa is approved without allowing enough processing time.
Hungary passport Dubai visa FAQ
What is the processing time?
Usually one to three working days. The decision rests with immigration, and delays are possible, so do not book non changeable flights until the visa is issued.
Price of a 30 day single entry visa?
AED 450 for single entry and AED 800 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 400 and AED 750. A refundable deposit may apply for some nationalities and is confirmed on WhatsApp.
Price of a two month visa?
For Hungary passports AED 650 single entry and AED 1,000 multiple entry; Indian and Filipino citizens pay AED 600 and AED 950.
Do I need to show a bank statement?
Some nationalities need a six month statement, others do not. A UAE family member’s statement can be used where required. Immigration may still ask for proof of funds at the airport. Ask us on WhatsApp about Hungary passports.
Can I extend a Dubai visa without leaving the UAE?
Yes. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days, up to a total stay of 120 days, without exiting. After that you must leave and re enter through an airport to airport change or by bus. Applications must be made before expiry.
Is there a grace period after the Dubai visa expires?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Is the visa fee refundable if my application is rejected?
No refund applies on refusal, since immigration retains the processing charge. You can apply again once the problem is addressed.
Can children from Hungary apply for a Dubai visa?
Yes. Children require an individual visa at the standard price. We need the passport, photo and birth certificate for each minor.
Is working permitted?
Employment is not allowed on a tourist visa. Job seekers can meet employers, but a work permit and residence visa are required before starting work.
