Is a Dubai visa required for Indonesia citizens?
A prearranged visa is the standard route for most travellers, and it is the product we issue for Indonesia passports. A limited number of passports receive a visa on arrival at UAE airports, and the list changes from time to time. We confirm the current position for Indonesia passports on WhatsApp so that nobody pays for a visa they do not need.
Dubai visa price for Indonesia passport holders
Current Dubai visa pricing for Indonesia citizens, verified September 2026:
- Single entry 30 day visa: AED 450
- 60 day single entry: AED 650
- 30 day tourist visa, multiple entry: AED 800
- Multiple entry 60 day visa: AED 1,000
Thirty days is the minimum tourist visa length, and nothing shorter exists in this category. The visa fee is paid to immigration at submission and cannot be refunded if the application is declined.
Security deposits explained
A refundable security deposit may apply for some nationalities. The deposit sits apart from the visa fee, is returned after you leave the UAE, and we confirm the amount for Indonesia citizens on WhatsApp before booking.
Payment options
UAE residents applying for a family member or friend from Indonesia can split the visa fee using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp.

What Indonesia citizens need to send us
Share these items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:
- Your passport data page plus a photo of the back cover, with six months or more validity. We ask for both because the back cover is the item most often forgotten.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- A round trip ticket, which we can also book for you if it is not yet arranged.
- If the applicant is a minor, a birth certificate. Certain passports additionally need a national ID card copy.
A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Indonesia citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. Please also carry a card or some cash, since immigration can ask arriving visitors to show proof of funds.
Applying through a family member or friend in the UAE
If a relative or friend living in the UAE is sponsoring a Indonesia traveller, they provide their passport copy and residence visa page, each with six months validity, Emirates ID front and back, and fill in the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. A family member’s UAE bank statement can replace the visitor’s statement if one is required, though friends cannot substitute theirs.
How to apply for a Dubai visa from Indonesia
- WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133. We review them within hours and recommend the right visa for your trip.
- Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Processing starts only after documents are verified and payment is received.
- The application is filed and monitored by our team. Expect 24 to 72 hours for most Indonesia applicants, with occasional delays or extra document requests from immigration.
- You receive the approved visa as a PDF on WhatsApp. Print a copy or keep it on your phone and present it with your passport at check in and on arrival.
Key dates to remember
The permit is valid for entry for 60 days from issue. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. A tourist visa does not permit employment in the UAE.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. We send Indonesia clients a reminder on WhatsApp before the visa expires so that you can extend or exit in time.

Extending a Dubai visa for Indonesia passport holders
A 30 day visa can be extended three times for 30 days each, and a 60 day visa twice for 30 days each, with no exit required. The maximum total stay is 120 days. At the 120 day point, a new visa requires an exit, which can be done by an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. Extensions are only accepted before expiry, so message us while you still have a week or more left.
Another route for Indonesia passports
A Sharjah issued 60 day single entry visa is available at AED 1,200 with no security deposit. The visa allows travel throughout the UAE, not only Sharjah. We will advise on WhatsApp whether this suits Indonesia citizens better than the standard visa.
Mistakes Indonesia applicants should avoid
- Missing passport back cover. Include it with your first message to avoid resubmission.
- Passport validity under six months. Renew before applying.
- Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
- Undisclosed immigration history. Old fines or bans affect approval, so share them with us upfront.
- One name only on the passport without a supporting document; message us first if this applies to you.
- Tight timelines. Three working days is the minimum, and peak seasons need more.
Indonesia passport Dubai visa FAQ
How many days until approval?
Typically 24 to 72 hours. Immigration sets the timeline and may ask for more documents, so allow three working days or more before your flight.
What does the 30 day visa cost?
The 30 day visa is AED 450 single entry or AED 800 multiple entry, with Indian and Filipino passports at AED 400 and AED 750. Some nationalities may also need a refundable deposit.
What does the 60 day visa cost?
The 60 day visa costs AED 650 single entry or AED 1,000 multiple entry, and AED 600 or AED 950 for Indian and Filipino passports.
Do I need to show a bank statement?
Only for certain nationalities. A UAE resident family member’s statement is accepted in those cases. Regardless, carry a card or cash on arrival in case immigration asks for proof of funds. WhatsApp us to check the rule for Indonesia.
Can the visa be extended?
Yes, without exit. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each, capped at 120 days total. Beyond that, an exit and re entry is required. Apply before the visa expires.
Are there any grace days?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
What if immigration refuses my Dubai visa?
No. Visa fees, including the service fee, are not refundable if immigration rejects the application, because the government charge is paid at submission. You may reapply after addressing the reason for refusal.
Can I add my child to the application?
Certainly. Every child is issued a separate visa at the same rate, and a birth certificate is required in addition to the passport and photo.
Can I look for a job on this visa?
No. The visa is for visiting only. Taking up work requires an employment visa arranged by a UAE employer.
