A prearranged visa is the standard route for most travellers, and it is the product we issue for Malawi passports. Some passports are stamped on arrival instead, and the list of eligible countries is updated periodically. Does a Malawi passport need a deposit?
Certain nationalities may need to place a refundable security deposit. It is not part of the prices listed, it comes back to you after your exit from the country, and we state clearly on WhatsApp whether a Malawi passport is affected.
Instalment plans for UAE residents

Validity and duration of stay
The permit is valid for entry for 60 days from issue. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. Choose single entry for a straightforward visit, or multiple entry if you plan to hop to Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar and come back. Working on a tourist visa is not allowed.
Overstay rules in 2026
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. Extending a Dubai visa for Malawi passport holders
Thirty day visas may be extended three times by 30 days, and 60 day visas twice by 30 days, all from inside the UAE. Total time in the UAE cannot exceed 120 days. After the limit, the only way to stay on is to leave and come back on a new visa, by air through an airport to airport change or by bus via Oman. Extension applications must be submitted before the current visa expires, so contact us with at least a week remaining.
Sharjah visa option
We can also issue a Sharjah 60 day single entry visa for AED 1,200, which requires no security deposit. Holders may move freely across all seven emirates. We will advise on WhatsApp whether this suits Malawi citizens better than the standard visa.
Common reasons a Dubai visa is delayed or refused
- Missing passport back cover. Include it with your first message to avoid resubmission.
- Passport validity under six months. Renew before applying.
- Blurred or cropped photos. Use a clear, full colour scan with all four corners visible.
- Previous overstays, unpaid fines or improperly cancelled visas. Tell us about any past UAE history so we can advise honestly before you pay.
- Single name passports. If your Malawi passport shows only one name and no supporting document shows a full name, the visa cannot be processed, so contact us before paying.
