We process the Dubai visa for New Zealand citizens as a 30 day or 60 day UAE tourist visa, available in single and multiple entry, with most approvals arriving in 24 to 72 hours. The 30 day visa starts at AED 450, four documents are enough for most applicants, and we handle every step on WhatsApp. Read on for the full picture for New Zealand passports: price list, requirements, processing time, validity and extension rules.
In short: New Zealand passport holders pay AED 450 for a 30 day single entry Dubai visa, AED 650 for 60 days single entry, AED 800 for 30 days multiple entry and AED 1,000 for 60 days multiple entry. Approval takes 24 to 72 hours and entry must happen within 60 days of issue.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
Do New Zealand passport holders need a Dubai visa?
Unless a passport qualifies for visa on arrival, a prearranged tourist visa is required, and that is what we provide. Some passports are stamped on arrival instead, and the list of eligible countries is updated periodically. We confirm the current position for New Zealand passports on WhatsApp so that nobody pays for a visa they do not need.
New Zealand passport Dubai visa fees
Current Dubai visa pricing for New Zealand citizens, verified September 2026:
- 30 day tourist visa, single entry: AED 450
- Single entry 60 day visa: AED 650
- 30 day multiple entry: AED 800
- 60 days, multiple entry: AED 1,000
Thirty days is the minimum tourist visa length, and nothing shorter exists in this category. The visa fee is paid to immigration at submission and cannot be refunded if the application is declined.
Security deposits explained
Some passports are asked for a refundable security deposit. This is independent of the visa cost, refunded once you depart the UAE, and we tell New Zealand applicants in advance whether one applies.
Instalment plans for UAE residents
Residents of the UAE booking for New Zealand visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.

Dubai visa requirements for New Zealand passport holders
WhatsApp us the following and expect an eligibility answer within about an hour:
- A clear scan of your New Zealand passport, both the data page and the back cover, with at least six months validity. Missing back covers cause most resubmissions.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- A two way air ticket. If you have not booked flights yet, we can book them for you.
- For minors, a birth certificate. For a few nationalities, a copy of the national ID card is also required.
Some nationalities may be asked for a six month bank statement, and where that applies to a New Zealand passport a UAE based family member’s statement can be submitted on your behalf. Please also carry a card or some cash, since immigration can ask arriving visitors to show proof of funds.
Guarantor documents
Sponsors based in the UAE send their passport and residence visa copies with six months validity, front and back of the Emirates ID, and complete the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. If a statement is requested, a UAE family member may supply it on the applicant’s behalf, but a friend’s statement is not accepted.
How New Zealand citizens apply
- Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133. We check them the same day and tell you which visa suits your travel dates.
- Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Processing starts only after documents are verified and payment is received.
- The application is filed and monitored by our team. Expect 24 to 72 hours for most New Zealand applicants, with occasional delays or extra document requests from immigration.
- The approved visa arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp. Carry a printed or digital copy for the airline and for immigration on arrival.
Validity, entry and stay rules for New Zealand visitors
The permit is valid for entry for 60 days from issue. Your permitted stay runs from the entry stamp, not from the issue date. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Working on a tourist visa is not allowed.
Why the expiry date matters
UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. We remind New Zealand travellers on WhatsApp before the expiry date, giving you time to act.

Visa extension without leaving the UAE
A 30 day visa can be extended three times for 30 days each, and a 60 day visa twice for 30 days each, with no exit required. The maximum total stay is 120 days. At the 120 day point, a new visa requires an exit, which can be done by an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. Extension applications must be submitted before the current visa expires, so contact us with at least a week remaining.
Sharjah visa option
For New Zealand travellers who prefer it, the Sharjah 60 day single entry visa costs AED 1,200 and carries no deposit. It is valid for the whole UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Ask us on WhatsApp which option is better for a New Zealand passport.
Common reasons a Dubai visa is delayed or refused
- Leaving out the back cover, which immigration requires alongside the data page.
- Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
- Poor quality scans. Make sure the whole page is visible and readable.
- Undisclosed immigration history. Old fines or bans affect approval, so share them with us upfront.
- Single name passports. If your New Zealand passport shows only one name and no supporting document shows a full name, the visa cannot be processed, so contact us before paying.
- Tight timelines. Three working days is the minimum, and peak seasons need more.
Frequently asked questions about Dubai visa for New Zealand passport
How many days until approval?
Usually one to three working days. The decision rests with immigration, and delays are possible, so do not book non changeable flights until the visa is issued.
What does the 30 day visa cost?
AED 450 single or AED 800 multiple entry. Indian and Filipino rates are AED 400 and AED 750. Deposits, where applicable, are confirmed before payment.
Price of a two month visa?
AED 650 for single entry and AED 1,000 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 600 and AED 950.
Will immigration ask for proof of funds?
Bank statement requirements vary by nationality. Where one is needed, a family member living in the UAE can provide it. Separately, immigration can ask for proof of funds on arrival. We confirm the position for New Zealand citizens on WhatsApp.
What if I want to stay longer?
Yes. Extensions of 30 days are available three times on a 30 day visa and twice on a 60 day visa, all from inside the UAE, up to 120 days. Once exhausted, a visa change by air or bus is needed.
Are there any grace days?
No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.
Refund policy on rejection?
No. Visa fees, including the service fee, are not refundable if immigration rejects the application, because the government charge is paid at submission. You may reapply after addressing the reason for refusal.
Is there a visa for minors?
Yes. Each child needs their own visa and pays the same fee as an adult. Send the child’s passport, photo and birth certificate on WhatsApp along with the parents’ documents.
Does the tourist visa allow employment?
Employment is not allowed on a tourist visa. Job seekers can meet employers, but a work permit and residence visa are required before starting work.
